I understand that you have never been to a basketball game at tech but I can assure you that when the program is winning, attendance is not lacking and is full for weekends/big games. This is the story of the 70's, 80's 90's and 2000's.

Hell, if the women are good, they do not have an attendance problem.

I hear Mariusz Pudzianowski is available. Imagine the "pudzianowskification" jokes that would result. (Might be funnier if I went with Phil Pfister.)

It could be argued that Dabo was, indeed, loosing his mind on this kid. You know, as opposed to keeping it reined in.

the first sentence of his bio says he is the director of strength and conditioning.

edit: now I am thinking you meant Turner. my bad

Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.

Holy over-analysis Batman. Dadi gets too emotional at times. He was gesticulating wildly and Ron Cherry just happened to be in Dadi's swing radius. Cherry looks at him and sees that he is just over-reacting emotionally, not purposefully trying to hit him. Plus, he heard the "tantrum" that culminated in Dadi hitting his arm. As was stated above, Cherry only gave him a personal foul, he didn't toss him. Cherry was there, we were just watching from the stands or on television. He was in a much better position to gauge Dadi's intent, and he clearly thought it was unintentional.

For me, Cassell isn't losing money

has that been confirmed? It certainly isn't making money if it's only half full.

And again you plan for low side economics. If VT's low side is 50%, then adding premium seats vastly improves atmosphere and fan experience.

Yeah, I was thinking more about Conte's comment about Gentry being a big reason he came to Tech, I know once they are here they will spend a lot of hours with the guy, just never imagined recruits thought about that so much in the decision making process.

What you're saying makes sense, and I guess the economics might support it.

I think you have to be driven by actual data, though.

For me, Cassell isn't losing money, so I'd go for atmosphere and fan experience. I don't mind adding some luxury boxes, but I really hate giving up 1,500 seats for it, in addition to one seat per row for more luxurious seating.

I think it's a discussion worth having, though.

Lives in Memphis.
Names his daughter Memphis.
I don't want him unless he promises to name his next kid Blacksburg.

Yes, that was my mistake, was told that the guy was coming from Memphis. I looked up the wrong profile.
