So I needed Dirty Birds ahead of me to lose to have a shot at the playoffs, but more unlikely was that I also had to outscore him/her in aggregate points, where I started the weekend down 47 points overall. Thanks to 148 points from Allen Robinson, Antonio Brown, and Tom Brady, I snuck into the 4th place playoff spot by 10.6 points.
WVU may be about to jump in this game REALLY late, admin is still undecided if they want to fire Holgersen or not.
Is that Ranger Rick our new O Line Coach?

That's pretty exciting. I mean you don't go several states away for an official visit unless the school in question is a serious contender.
I thought that sunglass tan looked a little fresh for December
Fuente was at his game last Friday, per some buzz on Twitter. Apparently there were multiple VT targets at the game. Not sure the extent of any interaction or who, specifically, Fuente was there to observe/visit.
The Jawas are happy:
Rick James too:

Any word on Yulee?? I know he's an Bama commit but we have missed at LB a ton in the past IMO. Have they reached out to him at all?
Your point is valid but Moorehead was a GA at New Mexico and Stanford before becoming a position coach. I thought KJ was a GA, but apparently he's a special assistant. All good though, the "on the surface" was a brief way of saying that I don't know if he'd actually be a good coach.
Travon McMillan's run against NC State for the touchdown that sealed the game, and the celebration that followed where he was greeted by Trey Edmunds and JC Coleman, the two guys who gave up playing time to Travon. The family atmosphere that Frank Beamer has inspired was on full display during those 20 seconds.
I doubt it very much but I wouldn't hate it. I think Fuente is smart enough to be able to put his staff in the best positions for success. If he sees value in Loeffler and can find a spot for him I'm sure he could make it work. I think Loeffler could stand to learn from a guy like Fuente who has a proven track record. Lefty obviously has the acumen to be a successful OC, I just think there may be 1 or 2 elements missing from his coaching arsenal. Perhaps a couple years working for a successful offensive minded coach could do wonders for him and his career. I wouldn't mind seeing Scot succeed, here or elsewhere.
All that being said, I really don't think Loeffler is retained and I really don't have any problem with that. I think we're going to be in perfectly capable hands with Fuente and his hand-picked staff.
As long as he isn't the one calling the plays, I wouldn't be against it. That said, I really do not see him sticking around. We really need to create a new identity on the offensive side of the ball. It would not be perceived well if we kept the guy responsible for our horrid offense on staff.
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet (if it has, I apologize) but I recently stumbled upon the Hokie Roundball Club. It's basically a booster specifically for VT Men's Basketball and the perks are pretty cool (exclusive events with the team, official Roundball Club gear, and for the $5000 membership, traveling with the team to an away game). I'm not sure why this doesn't get any publicity because it's a really cool idea. Below is the membership application that details the membership levels, prices, and perks. More information can be found at the Hokie Roundball Club website which, quite frankly, could use a facelift...

Rivals has Bailey as coming to VT on an official visit on 1/22/16.
Still hear it in my head every time we take it to the shade.
This site is going to melt down, but I wouldn't be surprised if Lefty is kept on as a co-coordinator..... GASP!
You absolutely boat raced me. I never had a chance with Eifert out and Lacy putting up another dud after he earned my trust back.
I'm not claiming any expertise on the economics of sporting venues, but it's not exactly rocket science.
I'm just saying that VT basketball is improving, and that this improvement should be accommodated in the future plans for the venue. I'm also saying that plans for a college athletic venue is about more than just optimized revenues. That's an important consideration, but it's one among several.
I had a lot of fun making picks. I'm still disappointed* that I don't get any bonus points for them though
*-no, not really.

I could definitely see that, but I could also make the argument that we have different definitions of "body of work". But I am far too passive to start that discussion lol. It probably makes more sense in fantasy football to go by points and not wins anyway, given the nature of the game
Yes weekends and 2-4 games a year what about all the weeknight games?
Good season, thanks for putting that together every week. I would say that's my favorite TKP feature, but that's like choosing your favorite kid. Or your favorite win over UVA.

Think of this way. Premium donors sitting in the corner (suites/clubs) opens up more seats for the average fan closer to the action.
