As of today prior to comference championships, because that's what rankings should be what teams have done not what they will do.
1) Clemson
2) Iowa State
3) MSU
4) Bama

if he goes back to being a cop you still might...crowd control at commonwealth cup games require a lot of police manpower, and he has a lot of experience at both

Can't lose situation IMO. Fuller stays, well, he's a damn good player and that's great for our secondary.

He goes, that's another NFL player on TG's belt to help him recruit... even better if/when he tears it up at the pro level.

Don't want to Be a Hokie, leaves room for someone who does. Maybe think he is a little afraid of competition as well. Some of these DBs decomits make me scratch my head since the coaches are still in place that they where going to play for pre Fuente. So maybe they where never really onboard but just waiting on a better offer in their mind, example the Pride kid. He has been wavering ever since he verbaled. Got tired of hearing it personally. Plenty of room for Fuente and staff to get some top kids on board who are talented as well AND REALLY WANT TO BE HOKIES.

So apparently from sources this is how the hire happend:

Fuente walked in, put an envelope on the table, slid it over Whits direction. Whit opened it only to see Vance Vice's picture with a sticky note that said "Im bringin Vance".

Whit offered him on the spot. No further questions needed.

I had a non tear meniscus injury that didn't require surgery and it lingered around for awhile. However, I also didn't have division one athletic medical treatment. I would imagine he would be healthy for the combine (and may not need to be for a 1st round selection, he met and exceeded lofty expectations right out of the gate) but someone who is more familiar with the injury could probably weigh in for us.

Well, after this weekend, you'll be forced to choose from Iowa (not Iowa State lol) or MSU. So who's your fifth best team?

I feel good about recruiting moving forward. Spread offense will attract talent, Fuente is young and could be here for a long time, removing the coach stability pitch that has been used against us as Beamer got older. Foster, Wiles, TG sticking around is also excellent for the aforementioned reason.

I'm guessing you mean Iowa, not Iowa St, who is currently 3-9.

Take it with a mine of salt, but I have heard from people close to Kendall that staying next year is a discussion among his family. He has gotten a lot of pressure to stay and finish his degree like his older brothers and he does love VT football. That said, I think he realizes he is a big boy and will make his own decision based on what he believes is best for him. I'm guessing he is waiting to hear what the analysts estimate him at before submitting his paperwork. This is very 4th hand. This is mostly speculative based on a couple things I have heard in passing so don't quote me.

If he would be healthy for the combine then I see him going. If he can't show for the combine and have to do a Pro Day at VT for coaches there is a chance. Either way thank you Kendall and thank you Fuller family! Can't wait for your kids to fill out all the defense in 20 years!

Who IS your top 4 then?
You don't like Bammer. OK is #8/9. Who is worthy? You HAVE to pick 4...as do the committee.

I can understand and support his decision either way. As a Hokie fan I would love to see him on the field one more year opposite a healthy Facyson (assuming he stays as well). With all of the youth and talent we could have in the secondary next year, that part of the team could be the best in the nation. Kendall seems like a very intelligent young man with a very grounded family and background. He will consider all angles of this decision, take his time, and make the right choice in the end.

Whatever his choice, I wish him nothing but the best of luck.

Will he be fully healthy at the combine though? I still think he would be 1st round anyway though. He was highly touted in high school, he lived up to the hype at VT, and he has a pedigree. GMs will talk themselves into it by draft day.

You really cant knock a kid for going to a school to play football for academic purposes. Let's not kid ourselves, UNC is still a top 30 school academically. Academic perception is important, its why UVA has been able to recruit so well even though their team has been a trainwreck. Not to say VT is a slouch, were clearly the best school. Period. End (ill miss that about Loeffler #sadface)

That being said, I like what Fuente is about, anyone who says "I care more about the next 40 years than the next 4 years for these men" has got to perk some moms ears. Add that to his academic reputation and graduation rate at Memphis and I think its something that will continue the "Beamer" Way for Virginia Tech.
