Honestly, if Clarke had any sort of outside game, I could see him in the NBA after the season. But because he doesn't have that type of shot, he will have to wait a year or two. I think he will end up as a SG, however an undersized SF is not out of the question because he rebounds so well. Clarke is a special player, I have never seen a Hokie that fast on the court before and when you pair that with exceptional athleticism, NBA potential just oozes. I am very excited for his future at VT and the next level

Not saying I agree, but haven't there been a few posts lately about how the social media accounts for VT football have been handled lately? Grain of salt...

What about his "retirement" was about him? An article written a few months later, unsolicited? Or him just sending out a press release saying he's done and had already talked to his team and AD? Nothing Spurrier did during this retirement was about him.

Is everyone avoiding putting her picture on the thread?

Jenny Fuente

She reminds me of my friend in HS. Same hair, both volleyball players. Just great people. She and Coach Fuente make a great couple and have 3 cute little girls. And, from the article, she really sounds like a wonderful person to know. I wonder how involved in Hokie life she will become, but I think it's safe to say that the more the better. Whole family and coaches coming in just seem like high character, class acts. So thrilled with everything going down. Whit is a badass.

well, I had a traditional wedding cake at my wedding but I still had Pie that night as well.

Was hoping someone would catch that set up.

I don't anticipate the Hokies being last if that's what you mean. I think that will fall to Boston College. After that though, with the way Wake Forest has played, we could be next in line unless we learn to finish games. Closing out a game at the line or by being able to create crucial turnovers late will be the difference in games against Wake, Clemson, and Georgia Tech. Pitt hasn't shown me much either so I imagine we can give them a run this year. Beyond that it will have to be matchups and special circumstances to beat the top echelon teams. I would predict one, maybe two surprise wins at that level, especially against a team like LOLUVA, who isn't a great offense or Syracuse who seems to have an identity crisis, which wont be helped by Boeheim missing the next nine games.
