1. I liked the team overall and was impressed with the effort.
2. Great ceiling on this bunch, but they didn't seem overly cohesive. (yet)
3. Clarke looks like a beast, but looked out of control.
4. It didn't seem like our offense penetrated much, even with some height in the lineup.
5. It was good to hear the crowd loud at the end of the game.
Now that Memphis has a HC it will be interesting to see what Dickey does. Odom may go after him, one thing is for certain if he comes here Burden is definitely gone
He should fit right in!

Great Jorb! That the stuff i was searching for and couldnt find. I loved beamer putting asst pay first and im loving that we are continuing to spend for the remaining staff.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have one of these.
Where would he move it to?
I think he sort of has partial ownership of it all, right where it sits.
Really like this!
I watched the MSU/Louisville game, and I gotta say I like MSU early in the season so far.
Still a little bummed about our loss to NW, but I think we can go into conference play with no more than 5 losses.

touche my mistake. But yeah just tack em up for 2 losses every year, thats a quarter of their season allotment for never making a bowl

I was responding that Memphis offered 3 million to Fuente, but nothing was said of the assistants salaries at Memphis.
The Memphis guys should be getting decent raises moving over to VT.
I found 2015 amounts for the VT staff...
The assistants that we know are staying:
Foster: $925,000 (per contract)
Wiles: $308,990 (2015 amount)
Gray: $275,600 (2015 amount)
That totals: 1,509,590
The leftover amount from budgeted is : 1,890,410
The 2014 salaries for incoming VT coaches (that we know) were:
Shibest: $260,094
Wiggins: $208,075
Vice: $208,075
Cornelsen: $150,854
Their total was: $827,098
For comparison if we look at salary freed up by coach that have, may, or are expected to be released we have (2015 amounts):
Loeffler: $424,000
Stinespring: $337,080
Searels: $280,900
S Beamer: $252,810
Brown: $252,810
Burden: $185,000 (I think he stays but now official word)
It sure looks like their is room for some nice raises for the assistants

Looks like it includes a few bowls we've never been to though.
When watching the game that was my first thought and the people I was watching with (UVA fans) thought that the scrum was because ML hit Stroman.
