He was there for six seasons. Seems like to me he should have been there for three more.
So long as they keep Craig Littlepage and Jon Oliver running the show at the top, we don't have much to fear from loluva football. The school and fan base, as a whole, will also need a dramatic shift in culture. They do not strike anyone as a "football school." Their fans don't tailgate well, and even get upset when visitors decide to toss the pigskin around their lots.
As I mentioned above, school records can be interpreted in any way we like and debated as such. If Ford had Vick throwing to him like Davis did, the record would have been straight-up shattered.
First Groh, the London, who is the next coach for the Hokies end of regular season scrimmage?
Last Dance in Charlottesville, one more time to kill the pain.
I feel winter creepin in, and I'm tired of Zima-sipping fans.

This is maybe the more impressive part of the equation. Despite the QB carousel, and iffy pass pro we've still managed to do that as a thing. Probably also speaks to our lack of depth in that other teams clearly had more options to spread the ball around to/play.
It is a good thing. I think we are all pleased about it all the same!
We have a longer winning streak at Lane North than anywhere else.
My only problems with total stats is we play more games now than when Andre Davis almost broke the record. Not counting the bowl game he did not get his thousand, why should Ford's bowl game count? Yards and/or tds per game is more meaningful in my opinion based on the number of games played
Ford, Phillips, McMillan, Rogers
Me three!
Thoughts:
1. Robinson is our best (only) true PG since ....? I would say since Al Young.
2. I prefer the broadcast without the announcers and wish that was always available (seriously)
3. So far, Allen is a hindrance to everything this team is trying to accomplish...hopefully, we start seeing more Hudson in that role
Well, he certainly always pussy-footed around issues regarding the game clock.
So long as the new UVa coach is not Matt Rhule, Pep Hamilton, Dino Barbers nor Oregon OC Frost, I'm good with it. The real danger is Matt Rhule. If either UMd or UVa hire him, my fear is that it could really hurt our recruiting. The guy is already familiar with the Mid Atlantic Region and has a reputation as a good recruiter.
He'll land on his feet somewhere.

This video will never get old.
No.
Agreed. I've had a lot of fun at his expense, but that's all it was. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, high character, and trustworthy. He'll land on his feet somewhere.
Correct. Possession is nine-tenths of the law
I really hope that Fuente's dancing ability was factored into his hiring.
Good thing we got Fuente early, otherwise he could have ended up a Hoo.
Amirite? /s
I've hurled more than my share of insults London's way. As is fitting for the coach of our rival.
Now that he is gone though, I must say that I never doubted that he is a good person. I wish him well in his future pursuits.
It seems to me like the past few years London has been setup for failure be it the schedule, staffing, or the Littlepage factor. I wonder if any quality coach will want to go into that kind of environment?
This is truly a sad day. Any time your in state rival loses their head coach who is winless against you, it removes an advantage you have. Whether or not LOLUVA actually does something to try to negate the disadvantage they've been at ever since Welsh left...
We'll miss you, Time Cop. This is truly a loss for Virginia Tech football.
Time to fire up the campaign! #AlGroh4UVA...Again
As with hiring a HC and allowing them to pick staff, I would assume it would be the same for head coordinators. If Bud is DC, I would expect that the assistants stay as is. He could bring in some of Memphis assistants per requests, but those assistants are probably moving with the DC at Memphis. It depends on systems, if the assistants work in the set system why try and muddy the waters by forcing someone else in. Plus, one less thing for the HC to worry about.
As for the D gelling with the new O, I would think that is an easier adjustment. Bud is set up for a spread and has wanted one for a while, so one coming in should work out.

Guess UVA let the cat out of the bag a little too early then, huh?
