Does this mean he forfeited his buyout? Or, maybe a number was separately negotiated. If so, it would be the first/last good thing he has done for their football program.
I think we've all deduced from Shane's post game quotes about apologizing to players for not getting enough snaps in a game that he determines the rotation.
They were completely tipping their hat to the plays because they used the same runners for the same plays. Remember Travon's jet sweeps and Rogers only in on pass plays?
We can debate the runners groove all day but we saw it in two different years with JC and then Travon. Once they got the majority of the carries they tore it up.
NOT YOU!
I know Hillcresthokie, and you are correct. He definitely has a network of sources in addition to his own ties to the athletic department. I don't twitter, but highly recommend those that do should follow him. Heck of a good guy, too.

He resigned!!!!! He is just sticking it to VT one more time! No buyout, no keeping him on one more year.
Cav did much of the legwork on Caleb. I'd give Stacy Searels as much, if not more, credit for landing Nijman. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but to essentially go zero for the Richmond area in 2015 cycle (Ricky DeBerry, Clelin Ferrell, Garrett Taylor, Darvin Taylor, Felton Davis) is extremely underwhelming to me. 2016 isn't any better, Scott Bracey committed to Duke very early in the process. Jalen Elliott, who recruitnicks believed was a lock to Tech, committed to Norte Dame.
Shane had early success recruiting at Tech, but hasn't burned down the recruiting trail as of late (in a what have you done for me lately business).
RIP, Timecop, and thanks for the memories.
38-0, bro!

Also, Schiano to loluva seems like it would be another Groh, which is just fine with me.
I love how all the guys just start going nuts when beamer starts dabbing (doing the dab? I have no idea what the hell these crazy kids are into these days)
SI.com reporting London has been dismissed. Beat writers picking up on it, so better chance this report is accurate.

OFFICIAL: resigned, not dismissed.
Virginia announces that head football coach Mike London has resigned. Details forthcoming.โ Virginia Cavaliers (@VirginiaSports) November 29, 2015
I honestly got all my tears out between Frank's retirement announcement and the UNC game last week. Yesterday when Clark made that last interception I was just going nuts out of joy
Most of the top 10 recruits in the state of Va this year are defensive recruits.
BOOM!!
I went to a Q and A with Whit and I asked about how the process worked when hiring coaches for big time sports, namely football and basketball. He said it isn't uncommon for coaches to accept a job without stepping foot on campus. If you were a big time coach at some school, would you really want to be seen at another school, have rumors fly everywhere, and end up being a distraction for your team? Also, if a coach were to be seen at a school and then not get a job, it would not look good for their reputation.
Did anybody else love the aura the retro helmets gave to the game? It reminded me of watching Jim Druckenmiller engineer the comeback in 1995 in Scott Stadium.
No post-Commonwealth Cup Victory is complete, without the Hokies celebrating with it downtown
6'3"/220 LB, still 16/17 years of age...fully cultivated tough guy look...

I liked the stream for the most part, but during the timeouts they kept doing the "instant replay" thing. For some reason the audio and video during that was really choppy and annoying. If they can shore that up I would love to watch all the games on youtube. (I do think it was Emerald Coast Contest stream though so I doubt the option will exist for the rest of our games)
I was at a friend's parents' house. Said friend is half wahoo half Hokie. His parents are both Wahoos. When Clark intercepted that pass I raised my arms and shouted "For Beamer!" Then upon seeing Frank go nuts like I have never seen him after a game deciding play I started getting teary eyed. My wife held it together better than me. Bud's hug was special and all put seeing Frank celebrate like that knowing it was the last time with real meaning behind it got to me.

AJ was certainly celebrating:

Yet somehow he leads the team in forced fumbles and maybe even recovers and he leads the team and is in the top few in the ACC in defensive touchdowns.
What the hell is a dab? Curse my disconnection with modern society!!

Completely and adamantly disagree. Look around - very few teams have the luxury of the level of defense that we field year in and year out. Bud is still one of the best and the game has NOT passed him by.
And don't underestimate the effect that having an inept offense has on defensive recruiting. Players want to go somewhere that they think they can win. Fix this offense, and defensive recruiting will improve.
