I would hazard that on a straight, less downforce is less wind drag and less pressure on the tires perhaps reducing wear. Overall impact would be less fuel consumption, less tire wear and better acceleration.
edit: they could also put a shape on the 180 to change the wing itself and it's overall impact to do something else.
