Good morning Xhurler19. First of all, Shoog had it right. I wasn't directing my rant at you at all, but as he said, just to maybe too broadly vent about the phone thing in general. Sorry it pissed you off, rants will do that, both intentionally and unintentionally, and I absolutely understand medical emergencies and the need for some folks to stay more in touch than others. Having known my share of diabetics, and folks waiting important news, etc., I get that and it is not at all what I am irritated by. However, since it is a new day and life is way to short to be mad two days in a row, please accept my apologies for pushing the button that hit your raw nerve. Please accept, also, my best wishes for your daughter. I'm actually surprised at how few blasts I got for that rant, but the day is young still, I'll check back later and take the heat as it comes.

Of course he would publicly state that this is his official stance. It's quite easy to play true freshman when you have a top 5 recruiting class year after year. The problem for VT is that this creates voids at certain positions. We don't exactly have 4-5* depth at every position here, and it's very possible that not redshirting someone during a year when we actually have depth will cause us to have a glaring weakness in the defense or offense 4 years from then.
Huelskamp looked like a 12-year old getting pushed around against Furman. I am guessing that Purdue's o-line is sliiiiightly better than Furman's.

Ease up on the poor dog, she's just a pup. We'll graduate to flatheads and muskies as she matures. And as for the poor bass, well, I was a-fishin' with my Uncle Fud, and in true redneck fashion, he keeps everything he catches anyway, so no real whoop if the bass's mouthparts were damaged. Walleyes, now, I net them. No way I'm gonna take a chance the dog might not get it over the gunnel 'cause I'm just redneck enough to eat most every legal walleye we catch!
