When I was a student (03-07) we had traditional paper/ cardstock tickets. It was after I graduated but I thought it was only 1 year where they used the cards, which were the same as how they did student season basketball tickets when I was a student. I think they had problems with people losing cards and them being unable/ difficult to replace, so they did away with those and shifted to the print-at-home form.

Spencer wrote a bleeding heart piece all about how his growing up with a dad who bounced around from job to job means he knows what its like to be an athlete on scholarship, understands their finances, and mind set.

So I assume that took up most of his time last week.

Q for French et al:

on the video review of Furman's successful option plays, we see Motu lined up about 5 yards off the LOS and immediately move forward about three yards when the ball is snapped. That put him just in range to be blocked on those outside runs. Is the move forward by the MLB a mistake or is he moving into an assigned gap first, then trying to get to the sideline?

Favorite of this week: "That's a tough loss for UVA, though it is refreshing to see a cop make life miserable for a bunch of rich white people for once.

I can't figure out if he's talking about the misery of Notre Dame or UVa, but either one works.

The irony being that the other finalist for the job was Oliver Luck, who despite working for WVU, actually was a major success there, was one of the cornerstones of the initial playoff committee, and now was hired by the NCAA to be the new "Sanctions Czar" and get them back out of the dumpster fire the Miami, PSU, and USC cases left them in.
