A Beamerball touchdown and a shutout. Get back to our roots and let the offense be an experiment.
He may not be a take for Bama at the end of the day.
Flipping Jaquan Yulee to Tech would be crazy good and probably un-realistic. This kid is very high on Bama, and very vocal about it too.....kinda like Mook was with VT. I would be completely shocked to see a flip, but one can hope!!
well....define "high"
So do I, but after last time, they put me on that list. So now when I move into a new barn I have to introduce myself and admit what I've done.
Agreed. I want to see us score at will.
Then, I want to see all of the QBs we have to offer so I can see what we've got.

Here's what I remember:
Tyrod was a true freshman in 2007 when we played LSU and were already getting blown away in the first quarter. Tyrod came in and played against (what would probably be) the best defense he'd see in his entire college career and traded starting duties with Sean Glennon for two years hence.
When he was the go-to guy in 2009, after Glennon graduated, he became one of my favorite quarterbacks in Hokie lore and was undeniably awesome for us. (Note: I remember the plan to redshirt Tyrod in '08)
I do not fear putting all our QBs one the field in some capacity this year.
Because that would only give us 11 days of Hokies football instead of 12.
Depends on whether he was going to be going pro after 3, 4, or 5 years in college.
BIG DURK! I hope he makes the Purdue game. I gotta hang with Big Durk.
Until any of the three prove themselves as QBs that will make the correct read and get the ball outside quickly and accurately, teams will load the box against all three of them.
some would say that Durkin is a TE....and will be very soon....

For the defense I'd like a shutout. Dont' know the last time we shutout a team. Plus get the ball back quickly for so the offense can have as many reps as they can. MLB improve. If moto is the guy then he needs to be able to play like it. If not reps for someone else.
For the offense, a lot of passing. I would like to see Shai and McMillian get the majority of carries. We know what we have in JCC and Trey for the most part. I would like to see how Shai moves after reovering and give more carries to McMillian to get him more game experience. I'd like to get 200 yds of rushing but hopefully not on 40 carries. I mostly want to see competent passers and a QB who looks like he knows the playbook and passing progressions. I hope we come out fully confident in Motely and excited for the other two.
A punt return would be nice just because they are exciting.

I'm concerned about the running game suffering due to defenses loading the box because they don't respect the pass threat from Motley. Your thoughts on that, French?

Beer: Bull & Bones Maroon Effect Ale. Because I brought some home with me from Blacksburg
He got trashed by Miami last year and he missed the gap against BC which sprung their QB for their winning TD. Look at the plays that French talks about in his latest write up. Moto is routinely in the wrong gaps and unable to shed blocks. Many times he takes the gap of another and ends up not only getting blocked but getting the other defeder whose gap it is blocked as well or forcing them to take a terrible angle to tackle. See Zeke's 80 yd run. If there isn't proper play by him this week Foster needs to take some serious look at his position. That position has me very worried especially if he plays against GT. If he misses gaps like has a tendency to do in that game GT is gonna have field day.
You know it's bad when the equipment managers troll you on Twitter:
Not sure how this happens maybe #Holding? Get the sewing machine ready! pic.twitter.com/XwdL9LBapz— VT Equipment (@VTEquipment) September 10, 2015
So it sounds like Bud outsmarted himself. Hey it is a guessing game every week. BTW great write up AGAIN French. An ACC crew missed that hold? Sure that that will be sent to the ACC offices. Shades of Tom Brady! Truly the way Moto looked find a SR that does not give a shit about his body and tell him to pick a hole any hole and run over whoever is there. He will be right 50% of the time.
I'd take another Brewer in a heartbeat.
11W also has a very strong breakdown of the route concept that lead to the Elliott catches and the Miller touchdown catch. Great stuff here.

Very, very important note:
A buddy at work mentioned that ESPN was considering a streaming service independent of cable. I did not ask for his #sources and cannot verify. I think we all know this will eventually happen but Disney needs to see that they can be profitable with a streaming service as opposed to hitching their wagon to cable service. I hope this point is not lost on everyone.
