honestly, can you imagine going into a game like this? motley is not Jones or Barrett. Hell, brewer isn't. Our QBs like most of the team was decimated in recruiting until Lefty got here. But I don't see this game as an indictment of Motley either. At the same time, I bet we see Durkin or Lawson sooner rather than later
But he had to build something for Motley to work with. Lefty is still calling the game to the bitter end. I'm thankful Lefty hasn't gave up and Motley is trying and building confidence...

I foresee the Furman game being an audition for who will get #1 reps in practice for ECU and Purdue.
For the sake of this program, i hope it's Lawson. The future is his, not Motley's. Let's get him some experience and try to make a run at something next year and beyond.
I know this will sound like every fan ever when the qb isnt playing good. But seriously. This is a terrible showing from motley. I don't expect him to come in like OSU qbs did and have no drop off, but he didn't provide relief two years ago in the sun bowl, which could be forgiven because of how young he was. To come two years later and provide almost nothing in the way of providing relief for another starting qb is just really sad. If they don't at least give them equal time next week at Furman to flesh out the difference between them I will be very upset.
