The Carolina game is super sloppy. Not sure if UNC is that much better on defense, or if South Carolina is just that bad on offense.
And yet the #1 team in the nation. And then we beat #2 for good measure.
Myself I'm sick of the excuses of why they got beat last yr, yea they were young in a couple spots but go look at tech, a qb that had a month to learn the playbook, they lost 2 starters on the o- line before the season even started and like osu had a young o- line, they started 2 true freshman wr's and a redshirt freshman te, 2 redshirt freshman rb's and that d that gave them fits all night had what , 7 or 8 new starters!! So please, enough allready.

The Crimson Tide secondary finished 11th in the SEC in pass defense last year after it gave up 226 yards per game, more passing plays of 10 or more yards (133) than any team in the SEC and the second-most first downs (15) in obvious passing situations (3rd-and-10 or more) in the conference.
I know, I know, it's B/R, but it was the first link I found

ok I got a little carried away. But I'll leave this right here.
Has 11W or TKP done an analysis of the VT offense vs. the OSU Defense? This is the match up that is going to make/break the game IMO.
Between our high risk/high reward defense, and OSU's offense, they're going to score. I don't think they'll string together long drives down the field often, but I do think they'll get at least 1, likely more 20+ yard TDs. I can say with some confidence that I think our defense can hold OSU to 30ish points (we were the only team to hold them to <30 last year, PSU and Minnesota held them to 31).
My big question is can our offense put up 30+ points again? I'm not confident that Brewer can convert >50% of third downs again (that is something I would call lightening in a bottle), so we'll have to establish a running game... which we've done effectively in four games in the past two seasons.
"And Michigan is a national power". Not Lately!
The Buckeyes will definitely get my support after September 7th. Classy team.
... until we meet them in an epic rematch for the National Championship, I will not support them then of course.
UVA on the pick 'em list? Most confidence they'll lose.

"Berman attacked the league while questioning one of its lawyers at two hearings, citing a lack of proof against Brady"
Its about both, if you look at it objectively without preconceived notions about Brady and the Pats its no case at best. Now if you hate the guy sure, rabble rabble away.
I live about an hour away from Santa Rosa CA, so I would definitely offer a bottle of Pliny the Elder for Heady Topper. I've been meaning to get on some beer trading websites to do that, and just never have.
EDIT: realized I should mention that this was a hypothetical answer, as I won't be at the game, unfortunately.

We've seen how weak blocking can change things.
Can confirm. Source: 2012 season
And all the while the owners are laughing while sipping their brandy saying "the press could have been talking about the concussion lawsuits. I sure am glad Roger got behind this deflategate stuff instead."

Hokie material. Remember break a QB...he does not care about you until then.
