That was stupid for a couple reasons:
One, he mentioned college football, but he kept talking about Friday and Friday night. That's high school football, college is played on Saturday with a few exceptions. If you're going to sing a song about college football fans, you need to mention Saturday.
Two, he mentioned colleges then mentioned a bunch of jobs that people who went to those colleges probably don't work. Sure working class people love college football too, but the idea that "we work in coal mines and fill your ice tea" is wrong. I work in a white collar office. On Fridays, everyone is wearing their college gear. OU, Texas, A&M, OK State, KSU, Texas Tech, Kansas, LSU, BAMA, etc. College football fandom is probably more prevalent in workplaces with lots of football school alums.
Lastly, it's just pandering. Lots of people who aren't country watch cfb. Probably most. Lots of people who are country do not watch cfb. Plus some of the teams mentioned are far from country. Michigan is in the Detroit Metro area which is like 4 million ppl.
Alright alright, I know it's just a song, but if you're going to pander at least do it right.

That sounds excellent! What a great mix of hops! I made a Pliny the Elder clone a couple of times and I think that calls for about 17.5 oz of hops for 5 gallons. It's crazy how green the beer looks after the boil. Your Red sounds really enjoyable too.
I've made citrus hopped saisons before - it's my spring game beer now. Normally I use Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade, and Citra. The sour component is just going to take patience. I bottled the rest of the batch (since I only kegged 3 gallons), so I'll be sampling periodically.

Our gang plans on tailgating all day for Brad Paisley, and then doing it all over again the next day! 2 days of tailgating! SO. MUCH. BOURBON.

The times I've tailgated at Tech (mostly spring games and last season, thanks Corps), no one has ever had an issue with it. Just be careful about where you throw and don't infringe on other tailgates and you'll be fine.

I think the big comment after last year's game was Urban saying that he didn't have them ready for what Bud Foster threw at them. I see this as JT saying that they are hyper-prepared - which is good for VT if they win because there are no excuses this time.
Bud Foster knows they have been preparing for whatever they think he will throw at him. I'm interested in seeing what he throws at them that they aren't prepared for.
Man, that took some thinking and some time. I love giving legs, but I really wish I could give you more for that bowl of dicks.
I didn't think this was exclusive to Labor Day. But for Monday, have a way to watch...baseball?

dunno, but I'd only do this if I wasn't actually planning on going to/enjoying the game. The whole 24 hr thing sounds epic and makes for a good story once you've forgotten how miserable and useless you were at the end of it.
Sir Urban is right on that one.
