We just downvoted a guy to oblivion when he came on here and called Bud Foster a bum and you're getting upset because people told you not to call the opponent's coach an a**hole? Does it not make sense why that would be frowned upon?
I'm not sure how well traveled anOSU fans are, but as campus is essentially closed down Monday and it will be an eventful day, be kind and courteous to their fans, even if some of the asshole fans show up.
I remember LSU fans were there in their RVs the night before the game getting drunk and screaming at us because someone made a comment as we passed the group about VT beating LSU.
My favorite thing to hear when opposing fans go back home is how much fun and how nice Hokie fans were to them. Obviously, there are drunken jackasses in every fan base, but they can be overlooked when most others are good fans.
Also, be warned that this won't by a typical tailgating day. There will be a lot more going on...all day...so if you can reserve energy, do your best to do so. We need screaming and jumping all night, and you'll need energy to party until 4 or 5 am after we win.
Asking you not to call someone an asshole isn't being a SWJ.
I'm conflicted about this game. I have a wonderful schadenfreude thing with UNC, but I realize that their winning is actually better for us. That being said, I do not have this problem with UCLA kicking the stuffing out of the wahoos.
creative scoring would be a 1/2 check at best. We don't score as much on defense/special teams as we used to and we know our offense isn't scoring much, hopefully this year that changes.
Should have won it too, if more voters had stayed awake to watch Pac-10 (now 12) football, he might have. But the power of Bama's first ever Heisman winner was too strong.
(pro careers aside)
It'd be pretty comical if the pats missed the post-season entirely after all this
like the team in Charlottesville , the buckeyes also have a huge clock counting the time they face VT at lane stadium. It could be a good sign for the hokies as LOLUVA haven't won a game against VT in over 10 years.
I thought there was a region missing.
Usually, the best place to start looking for ACC Network games is on the smaller stations, like MyNetwork, CW, or sometimes Fox. Sometimes, a bigger station in a market might pick up a game, depending on who's playing or what their network obligations are. (For instance, WBDJ had a few ACC Network games on weekends when CBS didn't have a noon game...or they might have just been picking up Hokie games.)
According to TitanTV.com, it looks like Tidewater folks can catch the game on WGNT, channel 27 (CW station)
I heard the commercial for the Clempsum/Wofford "game" this morning. My first thought was "I wonder what other games are on at noon that I can ignore too."
I have Furman higher because I hate and am reminded of the JMU game that wasn't more than the WF tragedy, and I live outside of Winston and rock the VT all the time in front of Wake fans.
I thought I was over it, but this just makes me cry..
I believe in Central PA, WHVL channel 26 shows ACC games as well.
Damn right it was a catch. Pissed me off seeing the replay & call.
Thanks
So, nothing to do with our offense, but the first play from scrimmage (our defense when we win the toss and defer) will be an interception return for a touchdown, or a sack/fumble recovery to give our offense good position.
Utah.
ah, the good old days with they both sucked
Geez the SJW "force" is strong here. Fine, I'll be quiet. Enjoy your very well controlled day.
That's what I was thinking as well. Play conservatively, no long bombs, lots of run and option-based plays, and Miller could be serviceable even with a bum shoulder.
Im completely clueless, but how does this all work for us Tidewater folk?
Yoo tah!
I'd say put Braxton under center. A new, inexperienced QB might suffer the same fate as Barrett last year, particularly at Lane Stadium. Unless Braxton shows he can't throw at all, then ____?
Its really cool how all the legit and nice OSU fans seem to have come to our boards to post. Well said sir, I'd feel confident saying that's the general feeling from this fanbase. One or two score (leaning more toward 10 than 14) gap for OSU win seems most likely. We won't know until we play the game, but quick scores by VT to get the lead like last year seem like the best shot at a win. Knowing this, we expect a dogfight and close loss...we'll keep hoping for another win.

Lane Stadium will be a madhouse if that happens. Gives me chills just thinking about it
