For all the talk about how much smaller the VT Dline is and it's more about speed and scheme I saw plenty of straight up pushing back of the Oline in that video for pressure and sacks. My head says be ready for a loss just keep it close, my heart says HOLY SHIT WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

I agree. I bet we line up in the bear at some point but drop into something else. That's what makes buds defenses so good. It's almost impossible to tell what we are going to be running before the snap.
I think our defense played a great game last year but we also got lucky more often than not. We definitely need to score a lot of points if we want to win this game. OSU is going to score plenty this time around. I think OSU will score at least 28 points. We will need our offense to score, at the very minimum, a touchdown per quarter if we're going to put up any fight.

A lot at stake in this game, both teams are sleeper playoff teams, but the also play in the top 2 conference divisions. A loss here ends the playoff dream
Why do you say that a loss ends the playoff dreams in that matchup? It certainly didn't end them for OSU last year, and most agree that a 12-1 VT with a loss to OSU would still make the playoffs. Not sure why it would be deadly for two sleeper teams, but not for OSU or VT.

Am I the only one who watched this thing and kept thinking, "man, we have GOT to put up points on Monday?" I just have trouble believing our defense can be that dominant again, at least without the offense keeping the pressure on by building a lead.
He tried hard. No doubt he has a big heart pushing through all those injuries and with his six year plan at Tech and all the technique he learned (good and bad), he will could make a good coach.
