Let's include Offense and Defense Ranking

In the last 25 years, the National Champion has come from the AP top 5, 18 times.

Since 1985, the Preseason #1 or #2 has won the title 10 times. The most of any two positions by 200%.

This is what the Registration page tells you:

REDEMPTION is an "academic services provider"

WTH does that mean?

Since 1976 all 7 teams with 90%+ of 1st place votes in the first AP poll did not win the title.

Auburn mascots include:

Aubie the Tiger

the War Eagle

Plainsmen

I'm sure there is SEC Bias, but the rankings are fairly legit.

What VT needs is an offensive Identity.Or a Top recruiting

TCU, Baylor, Oregon, Wisconsin, Boise State, and Georgia Tech all have high offense systems with a true identity

Personally, along with the offensive line, that's my biggest concern heading into this season.

That being said, like on Saturday, the rest of the front 6 may be so dominant that it doesn't matter much if Moto takes false steps. Either way, my guess is that Bud Foster might try to simplify his role somewhat by giving him definite assignments against QB runs. His mission in life this season may be to destroy QBs. He'll almost definitely have assignments against GT, although Bud will mix them up to confuse Paul Johnson and that blocking scheme. Also, I still feel that he'll be fine overall.

On the flip side, I think the rover spot and the secondary will be fine. Between Fuller, Facyson, Chuck Clark, Frye, Riley, Stroman, and Adonis, I have confidence that Bud and Torrian will figure out a platoon that works well in all situations. I'm also less worried about power running attacks than I was with the relative health of Maddy and the continued development of Mihota, Sobczak, Walker, etc. In the end, the same teams that concerned me before the scrimmage still do, largely because I think they'll be the best teams we play- OSU, Pitt, GT, and NC State. All of this is just IMO, I'm not a guru or anything.

Completely false. They have 3.

I think we are gonna win and it will be epic. The last two games I went to in Lane were Miami 11 and Nebraska 09 and look how those turned out. I must have a knack at picking the memorable ones

I was supposed to go to the Miami game last year but canceled the week of due to an emergency. Doh

... Except that they way outplayed FSU last year. FSU was lucky to finish with the record that they did. Also, not all returning starters are equal. Pending the resolution of Dalvin Cook's case, FSU essentially just returns Jalen Ramsey and some talent. Out of their starters, 7 are from last year's mediocre defense, while the offense that saved them so many times returns only 3. Conversely, the defense that Bama mostly returns was very good and the strength of that team. Hardly the same. If anything, FSU is being overrated a little.

Much more baffling is 100 people voting for a Mississippi State team than only returns 7 starters, has been outpaced by its SEC West counterparts in recruiting, and plays, according to the voters themselves, a brutal schedule. They might struggle to make a bowl and yet are being ranked by folks.

For a kid that hasn't been a center, snapping is the hardest part. Smith has the feet and compete level you want in a lineman. The snapping will come.

I mean...I just got back from Kroger where my total came out to $7.77?

I just saw a Wild Turkey ad on TV.

I rarely watch anything at all until football season.
Ad came on, I turned to the beautiful Mrs. Shoog and said 'that's a good omen!' And then checked out TKP and saw this thread.

Playoffs, baby!

He is a close friend of Putin, he told me in his email he has been assured that when Russia takes over Ukraine he wil be made president and he will make sure I win the lottery too.

Is Da U bak yet?
