I can understand why someone would want to attend UVa. I can't understand why they'd want to play football there, given the quality of VT and the football atmosphere there.

Still don't have an issue with it. If they didn't make the grade, whatever grade that is, then take 30 minutes to go eat a burger. Not that big a deal to me, but a reward for those that met or exceeded expectations. First meal, so no need for a participation steak IMHO. Go earn it. Like I said above it wasn't surf n turf, just a decent meal with the coach in the room. Job well done to those that earned it.
As for the,separation, the coach doesn't eat with them very often. So it was a reward for those that earned it. For those that didnt, dinner as usual. Not a punishment, just another meal.
Niether VA school has had a Primetime game, not even Night game recently til OSU.
I'm not even sure what this means. VT has had some recent primetime/night games other than Ohio State.
Examples: VT played Alabama, the reigning National Champion at the time, in the first game of 2013. VT played Cincinnati at FedEx in 2012. VT played Michigan in the Sugar Bowl in 2011.

Only thing I question is Nijman as top 2 tackle - may be premature - but great news if you're right.
I am baffled, totally baffled.
No women involved, therefore, no sexism. And so far as I can tell, nobody around who doesn't agree with the sentiment. Definitely still cool.
I think our top 4 guards of Teller/Conte (a given this applies to them) and Osterloh/Pfaff will be a beast. I have faith in Gallo/Chung at Center, and then McLaughlin/Nijman as our top 2 tackles with Hansen/Redman as the backups. I trust Searels knows what he is doing, the guys seem to be buying in, putting on good weight and improving...that's enough for me!

Okay, intro time. I AM THE ORIGINAL TKP LURKER. I mean I lurked the shit out of this place...since I believe month 1, but no later than month 3. This is not my first post, and since I couldn't find the Intro's Topic, this Meta will have to do. I finally joined in back in December, but have only contributed a few comments laced with sarcasm since. Interesting non-Hokie related fact: I once charged a horse (not with a crime, and no, he was not a on a treadmill). He was charging me.

Re watched it again and the voice over guy clearly says "summer football grades" I mean what would you do with kids on the team who didn't take a summer class? I think it means summer workout grades.
The OSU multimedia staff has been producing videos and they've been having a lot of press conferences. Each of the 9 zone coaches have had an interview, nothing with players though. And Urban has had 4 or 5 pressers since camp started.
I just don't think they want to turn this into a zoo with all the hype surrounding this team. Makes sense.
So biggest twitter and forum reactions to this will be Lawson and Teller I'm thinking.
They mainly would run short routes with some medium level routes mixed in. Later in the year, Jalin was running deep ins finding spots in a zone, but nothing too difficult.
Harbaugh and Mich are doing the same thing but at an extreme level. No media access for players or coaches.

Given that this was the FIRST meal back together it doesn't bother me. A little reward for the kids with good grades (I took it as grades sine the guy was checking a sheet...) and food as usual for the others. After they ate they were all together. And for the rest of the season.
Nope, they've been closed to media even.
They've had several open practices to the media but nothing for the fans.
I assume they are just using their vanilla offense and defense so there's not that much to be gleaned from an Ohio State prospective, just curious I suppose.
Teller has been with the 1s for all the 1v1
