I hope we go all maroon on Labor Day, with the old-style logo helmets (see bottom left). Let the fans wear the orange. Those maroon unis are pretty dang sharp!! It'd also be great to get the students maroon colored towels to wave around. I'd say orange towels, but I think maroon would look really cool with the orange background. Just sayin.

VT kicks off...OSU fumbles the opening return setting up the VT offense with a short field. Second play from scrimmage JC makes a beautiful cut and slices through the OSU secondary for a quick TD
VT never looks back

# | "Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler seeks more balance in his life" Slightly different topic but have we seen the play that Edmunds had the 78 yard TD against Bama with since that game? I imagine Brewer would not be our guy to run it but I think this season would be a good year for it with Durkin as the wildcat QB. We also have an H-back type guy that Leoffler wanted to use Coles for in Rogers so I wonder if we will see more of those play philosophies this season.
Maybe the good news is that she was just kind of agreeing with the other dude.. her pick was actually with Minnesota I think he said?
Really looking forward to seeing Trey Edmunds back to running like he did at the 2:41 mark. These hype videos are awesome. Thanks to all of you who keep doing them!

# | "Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler seeks more balance in his life" Every article, segment, editorial, etc, that I have seen or read about Beamer in the last five years mentions how good a person he is and how the only accomplishment not on his resume is the NC. Frank commands a monumental amount of respect both in the sports media and his colleagues in the coaching profession. There are lots of people pulling for him to clear that last hurdle before he retires.
We basically have the surrogate grandfather of college football as our head coach. He's a (rightfully) beloved figure, and if in a position to possibly play for a NC, I honestly believe the people who are on the selection committee would feel compelled to give him that opportunity.
Having said that, they aren't passing up an undefeated team for a one loss VT. We have to legitimately be in the running. But if it were truly a tiebreaker situation, the number of people in the sport rooting for Papa Beamer to clear that last hurdle would be a big impetus toward giving us a playoff berth.
What they accomplished with that game and its engine will never cease to amaze me. Which is why I had to put into storage upon completing the story, lest it consume too much free time.
Some of these will very obviously happen, but this is my perfect scenario:
1. Enter Sandman gets everyone JACKED (duh, gonna happen)
2a. VT elects to receive and runs it back to the house
OR
2b. anOSU gets the ball first, goes 3 and out, punt blocked by VT and recovered then returned for a TD.
Either way from 2a or 2b, Hokie Nation is LOSING THEIR FREAKING MINDS and gets the entire team pumped and ready to sock it to anOSU.
3. Sacksburg lets Barrett or Jones (or both) have it and they play the game very timidly as a result.
4. Our offense puts up Oregon type numbers.
5. I get to set off Skipper (wouldn't that be awesome?!).
6. STICK IT IN makes one appearance during the game (who wouldn't want that?!)!!!
7. To wrap it all up, we win the game by a comfortable margin and the ENTIRE stadium begins chanting "OVERRATED!!!!!"
