I can't tell you how frustrated I was when I used to hear, "Well, we're moving guys around a lot to see where they fit best, and then we'll have a starting 5 based on what combo works best together." I don't know diddly squat about offensive lines but I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing.

Rivalry with ECU ??? Only in the minds of some delusional ecu people. U.................gggh. Would rather play 10 regular season games. You are correct Greenville & ecu & their fans have nothing of redeeming value.

I don't think I knew about this when it happened, and somehow missed seeing it brought up for last year's game, but this is very touching. Classy move, Buckeyes. Hokie Nation appreciates it even now.

Reminds me of the huge outpouring of support we received after that tragedy from so many people and institutions.

He can probably do better than that. Losing muscle mass is a bit of a myth with those severe calorie defects. As long as you are strength training and getting enough protein you will retain muscle mass.

From my view point, the jury is still out on Shane's effectiveness and insight. His experience has given him the opportunity to see different competitive football organization function. He has to drawn his own conclusions and his own paradigm (buzz word that is not used much anymore) of priorities for successful coaching. (I forgot to use the current buzz word "innovate".)

As far as pure "experience" goes, I'm sure there are equipment managers that have worked under great coaches that have been on a number of winning teams going to bowl games, but they are still equipment managers. Their are not necessarily great coaching material by merely association.

10 years experience or 1 year experience time 10.

the good news is, even while he's dropping weight in a healthy way, he can be used in certain packages to blow up the O-line, assuming the coaches think he's good enough to contribute.

30 lbs in 3 weeks is a LOT. To lose that much, you have to run a serious calorie deficit and typically when you are on the big of a deficit, you are also losing muscle because your body consumes it for the protein. I am no nutritionist but I imagine he will not be losing that much weight that quickly.

Beamer stated he wanted him to drop about 20lbs which I think he could probably do by October-November.
