I swear I've heard that story before.
But I'm sure that upperclassman deserved it. :)
I am curious as to why you are not sold specifically? Nobody here is going to see the plan Bud or any candidate submits for moving VT to the next level. Is our criterion only that you must have won a National Championship?
Let me ask the question this way: what has he not done to earn a shot as the big whistle? Whatever that is, the successful candidate should have already done it as well. I seriously am not picking at you. For the sake of good discussion, I am curious what BF has to do to sell anybody on being the right guy to lead the team when CFB retires.
Keeping a Maryland kid at Maryland is a whole lot different than keeping a 757 kid in Virginia.
Me too, soaked to the bone. Would have had a good time if we could have played the game, or gotten out of the violent thunderstorm, or hadn't had all of our magnets and decals ripped off by some GT fans at the Taco Bell. But yeah, it was almost a good time.
I feel like Deablo will end up being a really good get for the Hokies. He goes to my sons' high school. He's got a good head on his shoulders, and he's a real hard worker. He'll make the transition to college smoothly.
Saw him play many times. He stood out every game. He's that kid about whom someone in the stands always says, "Dang, who's that?"
Phillip Patterson, and Grant Holloway still. I am not worried at all. I really like the receivers we have gotten and the ones we still stand a chance to get.
Having received 2, I agree! just playing devil's advocate for the kid, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. The fact that college park is a hole was enough to keep me away from there.
OSU - Oregon State University
OSU - Oklahoma State University
OSU - Ohio State University
I'd suggest that an undergraduate degree from VT holds up fine against one from UMD.
VT - vicious turkeys
And the O is for Onor
A E I Y U and sometimes Y
I wanted to alleviate any frustration by the above commenters for misunderstandings concerning the validity of choosing UMD based on Tino's apparent preference of prospective job opportunities from receiving a degree there.
Doesn't really leave a good taste in your mouth when even Maryland is now picking us off for the better recruits in the region
I didn't know Warren Buffett was such an angry drunk
With Diablo, Kumah, Denmark already on board, I didn't really feel a thing about Tino' s commitment. But I would've gladly welcomed him to HokieNation because hes a good player. Knowing Tino , his recruitment may not be over.
To dream, the impossible dream...

# | Hokies Zero In on Top Virginia Prospects in the 2017 Class in Crowded Camp Weekend I was at that game getting soaked, good times were had by all but Corso
Getting 4 and 5 star kids to stay in their home state...wish we could make that happen.
On to the next one.
UMD is a fine school. I went to the business school (before I moved away), and my wife has a graduate degree from there. Not sure why you're posting that here, though.
Though aren't season open for public sales?
I was in the class of '14. As a freshman, you have to memorize a bunch of relatively useless facts, one of which was that there were 13 gargoyles around campus. Finding this number wholly unacceptable, a group of us got into War Memorial Gym after hours, climbed up on the roof, and cemented a 14th gargoyle onto a corner of the building. Probably the single most interesting night of my time in Blacksburg.

# | It was Bound to happen (11W Response): Who Can Ohio State Expect to Step Up Against Virginia Tech Following Its Suspensions? Bill Swerski: Okay. Okay, by my watch, we're about thirteen minutes from game time. As you are sure aware, Da Hokies are getting ready for the big Labor Day game against Da Ohio State Buckeyes. Now, lets go around the room for some predictions. Pat?
Pat Arnold: Da Hokies, 62 to 3.
Bill Swerski: Okay. Todd.
Todd O'Conner: Hokies. 79-zip.

They are, but those are also mostly legit. There might be OSU fans in Richmond, NOVA, the 757, etc., but an athletic department employee searched the zip codes of people who bought season tickets. People in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland aren't buying our season tickets.
