Look, I'm with ya, but we don't need no more talkin' (or grammar police). We need to just get down to business. If the coaches want it, the players want it, then however hard we must work, we must work that much harder.

And vice versa, like my Physics as a Liberal Art prof at VT showed us the first day in class when he sat on a little four wheel cart and using a fire extinguisher, propelled himself across the room. Cool way to introduce the funnest, and funniest class I took at Tech.

Can't wait to hear ESPN explaining how they were wrong! I actually like them talking like that because I expect Bud and Lefty to be telling their platoons the world is against you boys.

I could see how they think that we'll still lose..

...but the bit about losing MORE players and still winning is downright insulting.

Nice collection.

Heady topper is a must. At one point The Alchemist was looking at locations in the DC area, but couldn't find the appropriate space (same reason I haven't started as well, long story).

I don't disagree that Whit has to pick the best possible candidate for the position. I am specifically asking what, in your opinion, has Bud not done that would put him at the top of the list? A lot of the responses I see ( not just this thread) seem very subjective because of the "staff" trend. Bud only controls the defensive staff and I think he has done a hell of a job with it. He cannot be judged on the offense being poor the last few years.

I don't even know that much about Wiles. What's his background (prior to Tech)? I know that Gray has successful NFL (playing) experience and is a kicka** rockstar recruiter. What's so great or special about Wiles? So far impression of him is that he's not really all that impressive.

VT was also missing Trey Edmunds -- its leading rusher from the previous season.

And Facyson was far from full strength.

Awesome! I have a tendency to over do the hop varieties, so I appreciate the recommendation. And these souring techniques are great, thank you!

We already beat them WITH these 4 players last year. Both teams had a new qb, they had a new O-line, we had a new D-line, we had new running backs, wide receivers, and a new tight end we barely had any experience on offense. Their only injury was Miller and ours was Cline. That team had more experience and big names than ours did, yet we still won. But their fans and ESPN forget this fact and talk trash as bad as last year. If Miller being out hurt them that bad last year these 4 will hurt them worse. I hate hearing they had a new O-line, because it was a new D-line that annihilated that O-line and both qb's were new.

About 1/3 of the way through they start discussing Techs defense and call VT a potential 9-10 win team. So they do give VT credit, but they don't see any way we win against OSU.

This is a business not a club. No one "earns" the right to be the head coach. You apply for the job and if it is determined that you are the best candidate for the job then you get. It doesn't get handed to you because you've been here a long time.
