I disagree - respectfully. Jones and Barrett are two entirely different QB's, with two entirely different skill sets, and the offense changes significantly depending on which one is in there. JT is a spread distributor which will stress the defense w/ option reads, short to intermediate passing, and QB run/scramble. Jones will run an offense that stresses the defense with power handoff zone runs, power QB run/scrambles, and deep passing. VT will (and should) prepare for both of them. If Bud calls me, I'm telling him that Barrett will start and play most of the snaps because he can run every concept in the playbook, but that he needs to have a plan to change things when Jones comes in (I would guess at least 1x/qtr). But Bud won't be calling me because he already knows all of that. :)

He played. That's the only thing I am basing that on. I've heard him say things I agree and disagree with. Let me put it this way, Rod (or name the pundit) is not familiar with every roster or program circumstance. They rely on what they have heard or been told, but their job is opinion - and they give opinion whether they know what they are talking about or not. Does that bring us into full agreement? :)
