I didn't know 5.5 was a ranking. I also didn't know the delta of 9 and 5.5 = +5.5; but still falls in between +3 and +4. (ref. Michigan State).

Oh ok I gotcha. Not saying we would have won last year, but we would have certainly taken it to the wire. Our starting QB had zero legs. Combined with a terrible offensive line, he was a sitting duck. They were stubborn and tried to redshirt Dobbs (our current QB) but after Worley was hurt, they didn't have a choice.
the funniest part of this GIF is watching the reactions of everyone in the background. There's the "oh dang that looks painful," the "did that really just happen," the "holy crap that's hilarious," and the "well, this looks like a good opportunity to cop a feel" (looking at you, guy in green shirt)

Losing Bosa hurts but the inexperienced WR's vs. VT's secondary is the bigger concern to me. It was going to be a tough matchup for the experienced receivers but now it's monumental.

Don't disagree but I think where the h-back issue is is in their experience v our very experienced secondary. Talented no doubt, but as in last years game experience plays a part.
I wouldn't be a fan of that scenario but I would be fine with the Buckeyes winning in Blacksburg then VT going on to win the rest of their games.

In some ways it helps the family aspect. If he wasn't liked or didn't fit in and left then it could make the guys left closer. From what I've read on MK he seemed like a good kid and had a really interesting story behind him. If he did what he felt was right and the team didn't like it then this ends up being the best for everyone. As Shakespeare wrote "this above all, to thine own self be true" and maybe that's what all the parties involved are doing.
