If it makes you feel any better, the last thing I think of when reading a story like this is that it tarnishes the reputation of the education that an institution like OSU provides. We all did "bad" things in college and our education still holds up.
Now UNC....well thats a different story.
Yup they moved a DT (Mihota) to DE and he passed him in the spring. He also has not shown to be able to put on any weight since he's gotten here although he's already strong as a tank.
And I've said it before because my momma used to say it to me, if somebody doesn't love you, then the hell with them. Their loss. I bear him no ill will, however, and hope going home works out for him, but the last thing you need on a team is someone who doesn't want to be there, for whatever reason.
if we had an OL that we could run behind we wouldn't pass as much IMO. Passing more is a result of the repeated 2nd and 3rd and longs.

I don't really disagree with anything you said. Hopefully Loeffler will be able to field a more productive offense. I am happy with the more passing thing, but fear that a lot of that has to do with the lack of a productive running game than a change in philosophy. While I watch games hoping to be entertained, winning is the ultimate feel good thing, so I guess if we can win ten games a year again, I'll be a happy camper regardless of how we go about it. It is a perennial gripe, though, whether justified or not, and Frank is where the buck stops, but like I said, and you said, never heard of him meddling in-game, but as just a fan, I probably wouldn't if he did unless a disgruntled coach called him out, which is just not gonna happen. I'm not one who thinks we should be in the NC game every year, nor was I unhappy with our 10 win seasons. I'm not in the push Beamer out crowd, I love the guy.

Darn right they will still be an excellent team. If we slack thinking this is a given, fault be to us. This gives the rest of their team an incentive that wasn't there before.

Exactly. Coaches don't have time to pay attention to teams they don't play. Do you think Beamer puts any thought into how good Arizona, UCLA, or Oklahoma is vs one another through the season?
Played too many close games to not get notice though. 3 point game vs UGA in Athens. After we put in our QB against Bama we out scored them. It's all around the QB that we waited too long to put in. With him in last year we have 2-3 more wins, including one vs Oklahoma which well get this year.

The line has been dropping because the rumors of these suspensions have been out there for a few weeks.
Some espn blowhard just said ohio state could lose 6 more players and still have an easy game over us. I don't understand how that can be the case...
The only one I can defend is Arkansas because they played really well at the end of last year and lost some very close games to some pretty good teams.
Our off season defensive attrition summed up in one picture... I know I'm not the only one hoping this is the end of it.
I wish him well and hope he makes to the NFL one day. He is a great kid. That being said, I just can't force myself to pull for the Twerps, I even struggle with pulling for them against UVA.

Aside from number 1, they're all pretty spot on. I feel like VT and Blacksburg IS (or at least has the feel of) a small community, which might be my top reason for holding this campus and my experience there so dear to me. (minor detail, really)
This seems as good a time as any to bring up that two days ago on a site visit for work I met an engineer in our touring group who is a VT alum. Then another guy in the group made a remark about Michigan, his alma mater. That set off me and the other Tech guy on how Coale caught it ending in the Michigan guy conceding that, yeah, he caught it.
