I think so, but I'm sure how much that has to do with still being able to coach and/or recruit at 70.

You still have to convince those JUCO (and HS) kids to come to K St and you still have to motivate and coach them up and most importantly you still have to oversee and manage an organization with a lot of moving parts in a high visibility, high emotion atmosphere.

Unfortunately, an ACC Network will likely be part of the ESPN family.

I try to use as little of ESPN ecosystem as possible. Pretty much only live sports (and only those I actually care about) and the occasional 30 for 30. No ESPN app, no ESPN website (unless I unwittingly get linked to it). Is there anything else I'm missing that I can skip?

After watching this kids film, I have 2 comments:
1. Right now he's a lean 6'5" tackle. He'll need a yr or two b4 he can contribute, but once he fills out his large shoulder frame, he could be nasty. In a few of those highlights, even though he had good positioning, he struggled to move some of the bigger defenders. I like his base; as Wade Hansen put it: "mass moves mass". Get some, and he'll factor in.
2. I love how he continued play through the whistle. On multiple plays he released his first level of contact and moved on to the second and third, looking for guys to hit. He's been coached up, looks like a great get!

Interesting way to look at things.

I think you have to look at the overall schedule, though. OOC games need to be balanced with how tough the conference games are.

Still, I like seeing VT schedule at least one heavyweight, and preferably a welterweight (or two welterweights) by this scale.

To be fair, it's probably not that easy to predict, as most teams are capable of switching at least one category between scheduling and playing.

Hard to know what UVa was thinking, other than they just didn't care about their overall record, so were willing to risk it to pull in some interest to their program. At a minimum, they were over-optimistic. What do they have to lose, other than humiliation, right?

I do them personally so that my spine remains straight which takes a tremendous load off the lower back and focuses on my little quads.

Completely agree with the NC State rankings there. They'll win those four games and people will talk of how they are on the rise and then they'll get smoked by Clemson or something. I guess to NC State winning 8 games in a year is a big deal so good for them. Until they are contending for the Atlantic I agree with Andy on this one.

1. JC might be my favorite player.

2. For a guy who has only ever done back squat, can some one tell me the advantages of doing a front squat?

Boston College is going down this year, brah. Don't you fret about any perceived lack of fairness.

This could have been a teaching moment as opposed to a firing moment to show how whatever he said is not true. Guess the media moguls are a little skittish. What lies down the road?

Now could it be construed as insensitive on my part to say that I hate all college football teams, except our Hokies, equally and as well that I think they all stink and very badly at that?

I think he, Trey and Trevon are gonna put up some big numbers this year. Everyone stays healthy up front, things could get really, really fun.

You get JC's front squat record and a few commits, the past 2 years I've gotten a loss to Boston College. The world just isn't fair.
