But it sure beats the heck out of Zima

This week is all the offensive awards. The only other offensive award so far was the Rimington for best center. Tomorrow is the Biletnikoff then Thursday is the O'Brien and the Walker awards (QB & RB).
EDIT: Forgot the Mackey award since you and I spoke about it on the 2015 Award Watch List thread
Should have taken the 3 and gotten something positive. It seems like whenever Frank tried to "make a statement" in that era it backfired.
The Mackey watch list came out (Best TE), which Bucky and Malleck are on.
Here we come!

Have a drink of choice ready after drinking the Kool-Aid to enhance watching experience. Or to lessen the disappointment of something
Duh. Invent the future!
Sadly I drink the kool-aid every.damn.year.

we've treadmills for houses now?
This is where having an elite front 4 helps. They give us options we don't always have.
Also, Bud has had worse problems in his secondary. Think back to the injury woes with Kyle Fuller and Exum in 2013.
We still have an elite D and an improving O.
Best wishes for Reavis. If he made a mistake, hopefully he learns from it. Stiff punishments are sometimes blessings in disguise in the long run. He was a devout Hokie and will be missed.
At this point, I would say lets just get past July. (See Reavis, C.J.)
Let's just get past OSU first....and actually, let's just get past August practice without the injury bug rearing its ugly head.
Who the hell is he to tell his players they can't practice law in the state of Florida?
I was unable to see that attempted trip from the stands, but loved the replays. Joe Gieke (?) was the coach's name if I recall. I literally couldn't talk for a couple of days from my screaming. Went to the saddest party I've ever been to afterwards at my 'hoo buddy's house. I, on the other hand, grinned like an idiot the whole night long.
Edit: My wife didn't go to the game with me, watched with pals in Blacksburg. When game was over, they stepped out onto the porch for a moment and she said you could hear a roar from all the fans going outside and screaming their approval. She said it gave them goosebumps to hear that for an away game.
I'm not sayin', but I'm just sayin', there are a lot of people around the athletic department who are pretty darn excited around this season... provided we stay healthy. Loeffler is about as excited as he could be about his starting 11... and scared sh*tless after that. Gonna make for a heck of an interesting year, no doubt.
We were behind a few Cuse fans. It was so bad at half (cold and score) that they went adn bought VT sweatshirts. That's how we do in Blacksburg!
You mean the Motley package when Motley was looking like he was going to win the job and Brewer wasn't on campus yet? Probably.
Shifting from swing shift to mids, so was up all night by myself at home. Reading 11w and TKP put me in the mood to riminisce, so I put the 1 hour YouTube version on and played some minecraft to sea awake.
I hear your concerns about Adonis, but I'm hoping he wins the job since he has the coverage ability. Is it easier to learn to fill gaps/tackle or cover? Whether it's Adonis, Reavis, or other, none really have much game experience, so you might as well take the risk with the guy with the most upside, which seems to Adonis. Hopefully he's hitting the playbook and video hard to seize the opportunity.
Cold day, too. We were so worried at the tailgate about Syracuse we couldn't even enjoy the party. Boy, the party later though. My wife watched it downtown with some Syracuse fans that couldn't get tickets. They ended up footing the bill and even applauded when the goalpost went by down Main Street.
I used to be the first man aboard the Hokie Hype train, accentuating the positive, eliminating the negatives from the equation, I was unshakable in my belief that the Hokies had a shot at it all. I will admit, though, as I have aged, I am a bit more cautious as I approach the ticket booth. If Frank's talking big (and for him, "I think we got a good team" is talking big), well, I guess I'm a bit more psyched than my cautiously optimistic mode of the past few years. While that train doesn't always make it to it's original destination, it sure is a lot more fun to be on it for the entire ride. I got my ticket, where's the conductor?
Was it the spring before they ran all those veer's for funsies?
They start there, and their experience at corner definitely helps them develop as good safeties, but you can't expect a guy who has never repped the position to come in and perform at a high level. Besides, with as good as he's been at corner, I don't see Gray moving him.

Maybe Tim Settle can duplicate that performance one day!
