Vaughn's acting seems a lot better to me when he's in mobster mode, not discussing land contracts. I think Farrell keeps getting better with every episode. I was amazed how "cop like" he was in the final scene, not what I really expected from his character.
They don't ask, it's self reporting. However if found out and you didn't self report the punishment could be worse.
pretty work!
Nothing from Miami 2003?
And side note: Man alive. Vick was a human gazelle with a cannon attached to his arm. Sometimes you can forget how fast he was until you see him practically leave the screen when he takes off.
I'd guess we;ll see our QB doing a few more audibles on the line as he sees how you lineup in such situations.
For that reason alone I think it's good that this will be our first game of the season. Reads like that require a lot of film study, of which there will be none. So for the first game at least, it might be harder to expose than it sounds.
DC radio does mostly suck. I listen to Howard Stern in my car on the way to work, then usually DC101 in my office
There may or may not be a way to enter from the Washington street side of Cassel, via a grate on the ground. You may or may not be able to tunnel from there all the way to McBryde. I may or may not have been involved in doing so more than once.
Jarrett Boykin hand size reference at the five minute mark. DRINK
Love the announcers reaction. Clearly a time before concussions were a concern. They are practically falling out of the booth. I was about 2/3rds of the way to the top of Lane Stadium and you could still hear the "CRAACK" and he steamrolled that poor sap.
I'm really struggling with Vince Vaughn (and the actress that plays his wife). The acting is pretty poor whenever either of these two are on the screen. I love Vaughn in funny roles, but like Brad Pitt, maybe he should just stick to those. Just like Pitt's last "what's in the box?!?" scene to end Se7evn, Vaughn is just really distracting as a serious actor.
Farrell and McAdams are remarkably good and the Friday Night Lights kid is doing okay, but they need to give his character more than one emotion.
Right now, I would compare the entertainment value to more like The Others or The Bridge, not TD1, GoT or The Affair. Solid TV, but not "can't miss it" TV.
I thought ep2 of The Brink was much better than ep1. Ballers just seems like "Black Entourage."
Even as a Redskins fan, I couldn't be pissed about that one.
Absolutely. Despite the 62-0 score (against a ranked opponent, still the largest shutout of top 25 ranked team) the O stats weren't eye popping. But the D just strangled the Orangemen.
And around the 5 minute mark:
"That's his second touchdown of the day, but he'll only be credited with two." WTF?
I know that was before FSU got really rolling, but it was a virtuoso performance by T-Mobile. He owed the day and was in complete control from start to finish. It was probably one of the only big VT games that I have been to when I thought that we were going to win from the onset and was rewarded with a start to finish performance on the field.
One of my favorite videos.
Same here. The best part of that game was when Eddie Royal ran over to the Tech section after the game and the whole section start chanting "EDDIE, EDDIE, EDDIE"
Was at the game. It was glorious.
I miss having 200+ yards rushing every game :(
Im repeating what a lot of guys have said already, but Mike Vick's performance in the NCG was second to none. I mean, he did some shit you only see on a video game. The run when Brent Musberger said "ELECTRIFYING" gives me chills every time I watch the highlights.
Perfect! The "Reavis is Dismissed From School" Act is working! The Fools!
Is it overly nerdy to know that, just from this gif, the map has made its way into someone's hands that doesn't know what it means to be up to no good?
I love the -12 for the terps too...

Bud Foster, 1999 vs Syracuse.
Ok so I am calling it now....my Sixth sense true detectiveness tells me the bad guy is......The onset movie photographer. He seemed creepy and involved somehow, thoughts???

Part of the mystique of Bud Foster is "sees how you lineup" doesn't equate to what happens after the snap.
On a not-directly-related note:
Re-watching last year's game this morning, two things stood out to me based on recent discussions had on this site:
1. Two pass interference calls on underthrown balls on like the very first series (a foreshadowing of ECU review, but already an issue in Columbus)
2. On the other hand, there was some success against the edge runs which shows some promise at keeping the backfield contained
