We wanted a name for a boy started with a C and as a joke I mentioned it and my wife liked it, just had to convince her on the spelling. We actually got in contact with him just to mention it and he sent us two personally signed posters wishing us the best. Great VT receiver but a greater person. He is missed on the VT roster!
I've been checking here & there but still nothing that I can find re his replacement. Last I tuned in Le Batard & his annoying Dad were still in the time slot.

Used to live nearby in Afton, so, my condonlences. I, myself, don't take soccer seriously, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone more socially liberal than myself, but I was surprised at those downvotes. I've seen worse garner upvotes galore, but maybe it's time I check in for another sensitivity training. Pretty much always thought looks were fair for discussion if there were no negative connotations stated or implied in the premise.
For proof positive, how about this website's inhabitant's incredible obsession with resident hottie queen Emma Watson? I mean, she's young enough to be my granddaughter, but still I admire her visage.

Valid question after all, right? Maybe not. Soccer fans tend to be quite serious about the sport. I bet nobody here ever watches women's beach volleyball either, huh?

I felt that same way when we went to our first Sugar Bowl. Man, first time in New Orleans, first big bowl game for me, I felt honored to just be there. Even the arrogance of some of the Texas fans didn't make me get too high on winning down there, even though I knew we had a really good football team that was hitting on all cylinders. But after that first half, knowing how our defense was playing and how they had just gotten better late in games, I was infused with a sublime feeling of confidence that was proven to be justified. I had always respected our team, just didn't have the historical precedent in mind to feel confident in beating Texas. Damn, it was Texas, for goodness sake!
This just goes to show you that VT has a chance these days of beating anyone, and regardless of being up or down, are not to be taken lightly by opponents, pundits or fans on either side of the ball.

Nah, used to. Moved from Afton to Giles County back in '87 and lived there until 2012, when I retired to the Middle Peninsula at the Chesapeake Bay. If I still lived there, we'd be hitting one of those fancy new breweries they got there and sparkin' the coming season. I did live in Afton for almost ten years, though, and it was the frequent trips back to the 'burg to watch the Hokies in basketball (yeah, we actually had basketball in those days) and football games, that prompted the move back down to SWV.
