This is absolutely true.
It was in no way guaranteed that VT would get into the ACC at that time, and since entry VT has won 19 ACC championships. Weaver worked those politics the way they needed to be worked.
I tip my hat to him, and remember him fondly.
Hanging out with family, swimming in backyard pool in Phoenix trying to avoid heat stroke, enjoying several cold beers. BEST country ever, NEVER forget! God bless America!
A man that truly embodied what it means to be a Hokie, by serving his community and Hokie Nation well....in addition to tipping one back for all the soldiers and those who have served our country (past, present, and future), tip one back for Mr. Weaver as well this Independence Day Weekend.

We're currently at 711 wins wins, 9 behind WVU who are the winningest FBS program without a NC. That makes us second.
I can't tell if this gives us a leg up on WVU on bragging rights or not.
I'm actually surprised we aren't the winningest program without a NC.

We have 8 conference games, so adding 2 more teams and 2 conference games while dropping 2 OOC cupcakes would keep the current rotation pretty much intact. If we added strong teams it would make the season better overall as well as have the potential to increase overall revenue for us and the B1G.
In Nashville for what is supposed to be the largest fireworks show in the U.S.A.
