Whit has said that he intends to have the VT on the helmets as much as he possibly can.

Made me think of the cartoon Hokiebird and turkey track helmets. Some of the most cringeworthy things I've seen on a football field.

So true. When you think throwback, you think once in a blue moon, special kind of uniform.

And I don't think they look bad, but just so meh. Nothing special about them. Boring.

But our secondary has been proven for years thanks to him. Our oline? Not so much.

If Tennessee deserves a spot then we do. Arizona state? File this in the locker room material file

I don't think we should do away with divisions. I do, however, strongly dislike the current format. I'm not a fan of playing teams from the other division once a millennium. I think there is too much politics in the ACC for things to change drastically. We were stuck with BC for political reasons and I don't see that changing, unfortunately. Realignment is pretty tricky because there are so many overlapping annual rivalry games which many high ranking officials will resist changing.

If it were up to me, I would drop the permanent cross-over match-ups in favor of a dual rotating format similar to the one that the ACC had before the most recent expansion. Mandate Notre Dame to join as a full football member or drop the 5 game/year deal to free up non-conference opportunities for schools like Clemson, FSU, and GT since they have in-state non-conference rivalries. (If Notre Dame is going to be a snobby princess of an organization and hang on to their deal with NBC I say f*** 'em)

With 8 conference games a year (6 divisional and 2 extra-divisional) each team could cycle through each team in the conference over a 4 year period. It's not ideal, since some games would be home and others away, but it's better than playing FSU once every 8 years.

Here's an example:
Year 1:
VT-Duke Home
VT-GT Away
VT-Miami Home
VT-Pitt Away
VT-UNC Away
VT-UVA Home
-------
VT-FSU Home
VT-Wake Away

Year 2:
VT-Duke Away
VT-GT Home
VT-Miami Away
VT-Pitt Home
VT-UNC Home
VT-UVA Away
-------
VT-NCST Away
VT-Syracuse Home

It might get a bit dicey switching up the cross-divisional match-ups but I'm sure there is a way to do it (I don't feel like figuring it out at this moment)

This way we can keep the same basic format overall. Have two divisions and a Conference Championship pitting the division champions against each other. It shouldn't matter if one side of the league is stronger than the other. The true champion of the league should be able to beat anybody in the league. If you can beat each team in your own division you should have a chance to take on the team from the other side of the league which also beat everyone in their division.

I read the title on this post and I got a little excited because we are always on ESPN 3. Then I did a double take and was like ....

I highly doubt Bud is our next HC. It is my belief that Whit will bring in someone from the outside.

I don't know much about camps, but what if Hand was just visiting? In May 2014, I saw Jonathan Allen at D2 during breakfast. I know it was him because it looked like him and he was a big guy wearing an Alabama Football Nike shirt.

Eh, I'll pass on people hyping us for no reason. Let us earn respect first.

I was thinking when reading ltrepeter2000's great thread that it would be helpful if the thread, post, etc. could be edited by any user. In theory Alex could start a thread with a table or list or something and anyone could update it (like Wikipedia) when some new info breaks. This would help spread the workload around rather than place the huge task on one person.

DMV seriously makes up all of their rules as they go along. It most likely depends on who's sitting in front of the computer at the time.

I was driving around one day and saw a tag reading "copsuck" or something pretty blatant like that...how did that even get through? I can understand "AGINAS", because if you're not looking at it on the actual plate....

The stripes of any length, blow. Give us any iteration without stripes. I guarantee the jersey sales are down since they went to the stripes. Look around on game day and see what the fans are wearing.

When the threads get too long, it gets difficult to follow. That's why, to me, an official recruiting thread is just not practical. There are too many players and too many twists and turns. I think Kumah alone had about 4 topics.
