Well, buggzy, how do you think guys like me feel? Bill Roth was always younger than me, but credit where it is due, he seemed more well versed in the older times than I was, such was his consummate talent and work ethic. I like this hire based on nothing more than faith in the powers that now be, and the few snippets of his voice and delivery that I have heard on the available links.
And as for slowing down time, I'm with you there. Can we get a Go Fund Me started on that problem? I think it was Katherine Hepburn who commented on getting old by saying it wasn't that bad but she felt like she ate breakfast every thirty minutes.

Do you one better. I was in the band in between the uprights in the North just a couple rows up, literally almost eye to eye with Logan at the snap. I could tell it was a TD almost immediately after the snap.
Agreed. None of us can know what will happen. We have to hope that Whit and the powers that be will make the best possible decision for the future of VT football. I'm just being a glass half full kind of guy. The next hire could be very successful. I think we have a solid foundation at VT, and Beamer is not going to leave the cupboard bare for the next guy, whoever that is. I do know, however, that if we have a fourth-straight mediocre outing, it will be hard continuing to justify Beamer as the guy to dig us out. Like I said, I have a ton of faith in this season, but we will have to wait and see how it plays out.

Virginia Tech also announced a multi-year contract extension for analyst Mike Burnop.
Also very glad to see that. Would be really painful to lose both Mike and Bill.

I'm not saying I'm against changes, it will happen. But so many fans seem to think the next hire will just make things better. We don't know A) who the next hire will be B) if the next hire will work out C) how will the fan base and money react if Foster is not a great HC?
Every dollar he makes means less out of VT budget.
