I don't think anyone knows what the next hire will bring. Yeah, it could be rough. Or, it could be very successful. Beamer is not going to be around forever, so change is inevitable. Saying we should be afraid of change just because we don't know what will happen is futile and defeatist; no one ever knows how it will turn out. If we again have a mediocre season, that will be four in a row. How many passes can we continue to give the staff in that situation? I think Beamer has hired his last OC, so as Loeffler's offense goes, so does Beamer's future, IMO.
What if Foster gets the nod, hires a great OC, and turns out to be an incredible head coach? We can play what if all day, and it doesn't change the fact that coaching changes happen in college football. I trust Whit will make the best choice possible when we come to this decision. I do, however, have a lot of faith that Beamer and Co. can get this thing turned around this season. But, this is a make or break year in a lot of regards. It's time to see if the changes Beamer made were, in fact, the right ones.

man you are right about that. I thought they had landed some studs recently but outside of jalen Dalton (had forgot shy tuttle spurned them) they don't have much to brag about from 2012-2015.

The defense has tumbled off a cliff under Fedora. They were astonishingly poorly coached the past couple of years- players never improving, ridiculous amounts of busted assignments, and just terrible effort. Also, the talent has been completely depleted on that side of the ball and all of Davis' defensive recruits have graduated (except for Sam Smiley). Chizik might fix the coaching issues, but I'm not sure they have enough talent for huge improvement.
The guy has a great broadcasting voice! Can't wait to see what he brings to the table
