Adding Steve Masiello to the watch list. Head coach of Manhattan who were even with Louisville until Luke Hancock pulled a Luke Hancock. Masiello is actually a Pitino disciple, having played for him at Kentucky then becoming an assistant for 6 years at Louisville. He's only been a head coach for three years but has two 20+ win seasons.

At first glance, I thought they were bifurcation plots of a chaotic system.
I'm kinda surprised that people are shocked with the upsets that keep coming - I'm not saying I predicted them, but at this point college basketball has more parity than ever before.
Plus, there's not one team that is clearly head & shoulders above anyone. Picking a national champ this year is just a crap shoot. Too much is made about the prestige of conference strength now, as evidenced by ACC teams underwhelming so far. Think Coach K regrets his comments about NC State prior to Selection Sunday now?

Duke played for the ACC Championship and lost. Duke then proceeded to play a close game in the postseason, but ultimately lost.
I guess we're in Bizarro World, because I'm talking about both football and basketball at the same time.
That type of in state tournament would be amazing. We have a lot of great D1 schools in state. We might be closer to NC schools but the majority of VT students are in state kids. There's a lot of rivalry between schools already, adding basketball would be too much fun.

Are you telling me that a 5th place A10 team should be seeded 5 places ahead of the 4th place SEC team? (An SEC team that played 3 of the 4 #1 seeds a total of 5 times)
God damn. If I took a shot whenever one of my picks was down at the end of a half it sure would of taken some of the edge off.

I had him this semester for Media Institutions, and although he taught WAAAY old fashioned, I still really enjoyed just listening to what he had to say. He had so many stories and jokes and they were just so fun to listen to. We had a new teacher come in about three weeks ago when he first became sick and I was so bummed. Probably one of my favorite professors I've had in my few years at school.
My all-time favorite memory of him will be when he said "Why does Miley Cyrus enjoy to be a slut goddess so much." Slut goddess instantly became one of my favorite terms.
Wow Kellogg and UMass laying an egg right now against Tennessee down 41-22. So far we have had a 9, a 10, an 11, two 12s, and a 14 win games. Tennessee would be the second 11 to win. I am officially #teamchaos
We've had 5 guys eliminated, 2 guys in contention for A-A status (need one more win each) and 2 guys assured of no worse than 6th place. All-Americans are those who place 8th or higher at the NCAA tournament.
don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining, just observing. I'm not huge on 'conference pride' in any sport. I root for the Hokies to do well against anyone and everyone...outside of that I don't really care about any of the other teams in the conference. I don't root for other ACC teams just because they're in the ACC.
