I have been to that castle!...Scotland is amazing.
Turns out my good friend's knucklehead cousin attacked Nnadi via Twitter when he signed with the Noles. Not cool.
that old e will get after ya
Gotta hand it to the walk-on true freshman that had to start his career in a tight UMD game.
He missed his first but, that first one in a real game is just hard to do.
He made the rest.
Erik Kristensen grazed the upright on his first kick and missed but the other 4 kicks he made. I think he proved himself a Hokie that day.
The refs, however, they proved themselves turtles.
What we could do is have the largest flyover ever. Everyone in the stands will make their own paper airplanes and throw them before the game starts. If anyone throws a paper airplane after the game starts, they become a part of the crew that cleans the bathrooms after the game.
I dated a UVA girl once, before I got into Tech. Thank God I ended up marrying a Hokie...
what was especially frustrating was watching the duke kicker banging 50+ yarders through and then cody missing chip shots. that was the game.
Mihota is my pick, guy has the size to step in and play right away. And he must be good if Bama was coming after him.
And that's what happens when you let a guy get away with stuff too many times. No reason as to why we let Brooks Abbot go, maybe he saw the BS/senioritis that beamer did with Journell and had enough of it. We all know when Journell was sober/normal he kicked well but that was a rare occurrence. But now we have a SantaMaria, a LB/K and a WalMart Kicker.. not to be mean
I haven't been this excited about a kicker since Kai Forbath took over for Billy Cundiff for the Skins in 2012! Now I understand we've moved on from Cody, but we would have won at least the Duke game, maybe the UMD game too if we didn't miss so many.
Albeit, we had a backup Punter and a walk-on kicking for us. I can't wait for Santamaria.
Teams have had success with ligher pass rushing defensive ends. Barkevious Mingo was 240 at LSU. Dadi was 224 last year and presumably put on more weight in the offseason.
Great interview Joe, seems like a bright young man and would love for him to join Hokie Nation.
The defense will see 3 TEs coming onto the field and bring in some big bodies just to have our TEs split out wide. I like it.
Thats the thing to me. The season was frustrating. We gave up seven non-defensive touchdowns. Thats one every other game. And we missed 11 field goals. Thats a lot of points that youre giving already to an opponent, especially when the games are as close as they are and were taking off the board. And it wasnt like the majority of those kicks were 50-plus yards. There was a lot of chip shots. And that, when its said and done, probably cost us a couple games, between turnovers or kicking game scores and missed field goals
From the article. You can tell he was livid about the offense and STs losing games the defense won for us.

# | Bitter blog - Q&A: Bud Foster talks about a trip to Ole Miss, a disappointing Sun Bowl and QB scrambles Good to see Foster calling out the special teams last year; three of the seven non-defensive touchdowns he mentions came from the Alabama game, which was winnable if not for the special teams breakdowns.
Missing 11 field goals and the drama that went along with our former kicker last year was not a good showing for Beamerball either.

Big Flats, Southpaw, Icehouse, Olde English, and anything else you drank at a frat party freshman year.
Love his answers, seems like a bright, driven kid who'll make every opportunity presented to him.
This is one of the many reasons VT is one of the most consistent teams in the country, our staff recruits guys like Aaron Crawford (3-stars who get it) and turns them into monsters.
Seems all the focus at Maryland went to Quidditch after they got rolled by FSU last year.
It's a very great feeling. I finally feel like my hard work is paying off, but I also feel like I have to work even harder now because I have so much more to provethat I was worthy of these gifts that I've been given.
I like this kid. Hokie material, right there.
Just one note when talking about easier to get one foot down being easier. In High school football receivers have to have two feet inbounds to have a completed catch.
Maryland and Miami, Quidditch Top 25 ranked. Pride of their schools.

# | Bitter blog - Q&A: Bud Foster talks about a trip to Ole Miss, a disappointing Sun Bowl and QB scrambles That last statement is pretty telling though, Bud usually doesn't heap praise on his own defenses, but you can tell how upset he was that this defense is going to get overlooked years to come because of failings elsewhere.
Also liked the tid bit about ways to keep improving recruiting. Thanks for the article Andy.
Didn't click the link but judging on the title we need this again:

Hopefully, Dadi learns to play under control this year. Last year there were a lot of plays where he was in the backfield so fast, was in position to make a play, and overran the QB or ball carrier. He overcommitted, and missed the tackle.
