We are a second seed. We play the winner of Slovakia and Czech Republic.
Here's the bracket:

I know, and these administrators can't risk this blowing up in the NCAA's face because of what will become a huge national story because of the coaches extreme hate for the rule.
Would have been huge had it been prime time!
And this was a game that started at 7:30am. Imagine if it started at a reasonable time.
4.1 million viewers watched USA-Russia. Most-watched hockey game in NBCSN history (previous high: 4.0M for Blackhawks-Bruins Game 3).β Steve Lepore (@stevelepore) February 16, 2014
That was my original point, the committee that will vote on this has a bunch of administrators on it not coaches or AD's.
Folks, Kam Chancellor was not a good Safety during his time at VT. I'm very happy he has become an All Pro, but I remember watching him miss too many tackles and be out of position on too many occasions to put him on a list of the top DB's to wear a Hokie uniform.
1. DHall (unfortunately. I hate to acknowledge his Hokie ties).
2. Macho
3. Keion Carpenter
4. Brandon Flowers
Can make an argument for Loria, Banks, J. Williams, Jayron
The NCAA is all about PR, and this would be a bad PR move. If this were to pass, they would be pissing off a large majority of head coaches, including some very prominent names that have real influence.
How do you think Auburn and Guz Malzahn would like this?
Since when did data matter to the NCAA?
Give ASHLEY LEE some LOVE !
Canada won 2-1 in overtime. We should get the second seed now.
1. D. Hall
2. Hosley
3. KC
4. Macho
Honorable mention
1. Ky. Fuller
2. Keion Carpenter
3. Flowers
4. Green
This was tough but I was definitely factoring in play, records (Macho and Hosley for INTs) and pro (D.Hall, KC & Flowers all made pro bowls and playoffs).
If the school were ever to create such a "Mount Rushmore," I think they should aim higher than than the Borglums did and find a granite surface big enough to sculpt 15-20 heads. Put em all up there.
Yup.
Loria
Drakeford
D. Hall
Jimmy Williams
Also going to leave this here:
Guess who saw it:
#24/7 lockdown #DBU@SouthernPigskin: Virginia Tech's secondary has turned into a proverbial abyss for opposing QBs. http://t.co/cXqM4XVUjFβ Torrian Gray (@togray14) February 16, 2014
I'm going to go out there and say it's my favorite sports movie of all time.
My thoughts precisely.
awesome find +1
love this:
From an outside perspective, it would have been easy to assume that Virginia Techs inclusion of two true freshman starters in its secondary for the 2013 season would prove to be a weakness for Bud Fosters legendary Lunch Pail defense.
There are exceptions to every rule, however.
yes there is. This is that exception:

I definitely prefer it to b-ball, also re-watched Miracle last night, because that was just a great movie in general.
see Kendrick Holland and Isaiah Ford. and did I say Kendrick Holland?
Yeah it was! There's a very good chance that'll happen because both of those teams are very solid.
Shoot, I should start writing grants for all the "research" I do on a typical fall Saturday.
Don't think there's a chance this passes. They have exactly zero pieces of hard data to support their "claims".

Well, maybe he's not one of the best DBs in Tech history but saying that he wasn't good at Tech is ridiculous. He put fear into opponents eyes, I remember during the 09 UVA game he hit one of UVA's RBs so hard on one play that on the next play he looked up and saw Kam and just fumbled in fear of getting jacked up again. He wasn't the best cover guy, but he had that intimidation factor and intimidation is a huge thing especially in football. Welcome to the site by the way!
