OK I'm not gonna lie that was lazy of me.

And, hey, his QB wasn't bad getting the bad to him.

Here's to hoping we have a QB who is good at getting the good to him.

It was a solidly played first half. Even held a 6 point lead briefly. Just when it came time for the second half we fell flat on our faces. Jarrell leading the way with that, following up a 23 point effort with 0 fer and 2 points from the charity stripe.

Lighting I believe is being done this summer. They are going to get some instant on lights and hopefully improve the overall lighting. I agree on the entrances, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
A big thing that needs to be done is sound, but they can't put up a new system because there isn't a way they can tell how much the roof can hold since OSHA won't let anyone up there since there isn't railing on the roof.
Getting butts in the seats is as easy as restructuring the ticket prices as well as fielding a more competitive team. If everyone emailed Jeremy Wells or Sandy Smith enough, along with Whit, I'd say something could be done about prices to get fans in the seats.

Today wasn't as bad as the score looks, although every game is exactly that bad. Today for the first time this season I saw an attempt to actually run an offense. They got open shots but couldn't hit them, thus the score

Not a fair comparison. The last time Tech students had something to be excited for was Duke three years ago and I guarantee you that Tech's student section was louder than VCU's is on average that night. If Tech becomes relevant again the student section will come back.

well I don't think he made their job very hard by wearing #5 in high school...

i have a funny feeling if vcu was struggling through their third straight losing season having not made the dance since 07 then all those tatted up art majors wouldnt be nearly as raucous for their rams. look, i like vcu. i have a lot of good memories and stories of hanging out down there, but this is kind of unfair and a whack premise for a thread.

I love that he cited his favorite player as Marcus Vick somewhere. Low and behold he is given a #5 jersey to put on. This staff does their homework. (I will not weigh in on the idea of Marcus Vick as anyones favorite player)

Can we compare the student section of Lane Stadium to the student section of the Siegal Center? Probably a more valid comparison until VT puts a reputable product on the court.

Yeah. Good luck to Brady and all but I hope at some point in that game, Luther bull-rushes him right through the quarterback.

I have to think the interviewee put something like this to JJ: "Coach, can you tell me why Thompson has been getting so much more playing time when you have someone like Cadarrian available?"

VCU has had Several NCAA appearances, and a final four run in recent memory. Also they apparently give a crap about the students/fans.

So, it's not really a valid comparison at all. Want students to show up? Win games, make the tourney, be relevant, give them something to cheer for.

How many 20 point losses is this? How many in a row? At least three, right?

This is getting really bad. You almost have to try to lose this bad this regularly.

It wasn't a great quote, but there's also no context. What was the question that prompted that response? JJ doesn't seem like the kind of guy who just randomly says things like that.

This kid has super-duper punt returner stamped all over him. A couple of things I liked are he adjusts well to the ball in the air as a receiver and on the run he turns that corner on the fly - man. Something I didn't like which is David Wilsonesque to me is that he's not afraid to run back twenty yards - keep him moving in the forward direction and the overall results could be impressive in college. And, hey, his QB wasn't bad getting the bad to him.

our young guys looked good today. Devin looked tired though. He could really use someone to spell him every now and then.

Well I remember, oh musta been 3 neigh 4 Saturdays past, well, I went right up to him, and I said "Sir, your stadium ain't nearly as sharp as a bag of wet mice, I think I'll be takin' this here Commonwealth Cup for the 11th time..."

Sometimes I give myself the douche chills.

Thanks Mom Weaves.

Just kiddin' it's a good post. Let's realize they are kids and don't wanna have any hurt feelers.

Besides, we can gloat about how good our recruiting class is. With CJ and Nnadi...Ford, Bronson, the Mckenzies, the Isaiah's.
