The Terp guards are doing most of the damage scoring 30 of the Terps 43 points so far. Too many drives to the bucket leading to baskets or free throws.
Seems like each section is about half full so not empty but not a full house by any means.

When VCU went to NCST for NCAA tourney I got a student ticket in the lottery. It was actually an excused absence from classes. VCU really pushes student participation.
I like the concept. It seems as it may dovetail with new AD's comments on creating 'memorable experiences.'
In my old day, we would get a free cheeseburger from McD's with a ticket stub if the Hokies scored 100+-(it wasn't that rare, actually.) That was gold to a hungry college kid.

I suspect it will depend on how his body develops. If he adds 30 pounds he could easily play DT but at his currently stated size he would be a DE candidate.
His style of play, with quickness off the ball and the ability to shoot the gap, fits really well with what we try to do with the DT.
In either case I like this commit.
To a point I agree, but when VCU built the Siegal Center they planned a way to get students involved. I was one of those students, we got points for every game we went to and with those points could get VCU items ranging from simply to very nice if you went to every game. They sometimes provided food also. I say it's a half and half thing, you can still get kids to go even for a bad team IF enough work is put in.
Good pickup, glad to see we closed the deal.
Cassell's student section used to rock.
At one point, Cassell was one of the toughest home venues in which to visit based on W-L percentage.

The best thing the administration could do to engage the students is to invest in a winning program.

True....diggin' the Delray pipeline.
First Impressions:
1. I was intially a bit turned off by the use of "Beast Mode" at the introduction to his Senior Highlight Reel, but holy hell is he bigger than everyone he is playing with and against.
2. Great explosion off the snap, and the swim technique is nice, but he does stand up a little too upright for my taste. It is as though he tries to get "skinny" when coming from the tackle position, using the combination of the swim move and turning himself perpendicular to the guard to squeeze through.
3. Shows good pursuit from both the tackle and end position.
4. Did I mention he is explosive at the snap?
