So tired of Wilson wasting a good play on defense by missing free throws
Unfortunately, in today's CFB landscape the best way to attract great assistants is to have a history of sending other assistants off to more lucrative locations.
Yeah but Grimey was not employed at a school IIRC. These guys are well established and employed at significant schools.
I didn't see Painter at all until the post game.
I know we'll see Kam.
Tech would be a great spring board for a good offensive line coach.
Yeah. To a team like LSU. *Grumble Grumble*
Sounds like y'all really want this Bostad guy. If he's really had anything to do with Wisconsin's o-line, hire that man. Trey Edmunds/Shai Mackenzie/Marshawn Williams + a well coached o-line = yes.
See Grimes, Jeff
Raines and Wood on the floor early tonight as well. Raines with a nice drive and one. 21-14 now
Trevor Thompson with a massive dunk there but ND up 19-11
Not doing much ad usual early in games
Nothing but Irish since 15-7 Irish lead at 12 min mark
Where's Eddie?
No it's not a problem, I probably should have reread what I wrote cus it came off as I had a problem with it, I meant that the same people keep arguing the same things on each thread and I think that doing it on one thread is enough and we should let everyone have their opinion without having to argue (sometimes aggressively) every time
Tech would be a great spring board for a good offensive line coach.
A head coach and offensive coordinator with a history of running the ball, some good talent at the rb position, in a major conference. The potential is there to build a really good running unit here.
Add in the past two poor rushing years, and a coach who is looking to advance his career has a great chance to buy low, then sell high down the road.
I would love to watch a football game sitting next to both of you guys...I'd have a recorder out and a pen and a pad. I also probably wouldn't be able to drink just so I could keep up...that's the only downside I can think of
Playing tough so far Tech 7- ND 6 with five mins gone
I don't think the Patriots have ever gotten past their 2007 Season.

Guys can you give me some perspective on this. Im just wondering why any of them are surefire to accept the position if offered? They are all Oline coaches as far as I can tell at their respective schools so it is just a lateral move. Wasnt sure if Searels status was in limbo with a coaching change ect. Are we looking to offer a pay raise or whats the motive to come here? Not trying to be critical as they all look to be solid candidates.
Agree, which is part of the reason I wouldn't mind seeing leal win the job. Not only would it help the program by giving the young QBS a redshirt year, but it would force loeffler to build a strong running game. Edmonds is capable of being a really good every down back, and the more Williams tape I watch the more I feel that he'll be a factor in next years rotation. Add in Malleck and some freshmen talent out wide, next seasons offense could establish a real identity as a power running, play action unit.
If Leal wins the job, he will have to. He can't be a running threat from the spread.
Wow JJ really must want to get fired
So Washington is out of the picture? Or never has been in the picture?
They definitely used the pin and pull on the edge a lot, no question. That's something I would have liked to have seen more of this year.
I don't specifically recall how much stretch they ran to the outside, so you could very well be right on that point (you usually are).
Regardless of who the hire is, I just hope that loeffler gets back to the under the center running attack we saw at auburn when his backs had very good per carry averages
Beyer is starting. This one could get real ugly.

I get this probably sarcastic, but it does seem many Hokie fans are a little bit butt sore. In the world of college coaching carousel, VT had 1 minor loss. I can think of so many more schools that should feel much more angst than VT:
Georgia - lost DC to UL
FSU - lost one of the best DC to UGA
Oregon - lost their DC and hired their LB coach
Louisville - lost great head coach to Texas and hired a PR nightmare
Bama - lost their OC to Michigan (huh?) and hired Lane Kiffin (huh?!?)
