I am really hoping he hedged that bet, but didn't say he did in fear of jinxing his team.
I just had a person write on Facebook (who likes Tennessee) "Sorry VT fans, the accomplishments of FSU does not reflect the conference"...
Are you kidding me? The SEC was 0-2 in bowl games and the ACC was 2-0. I'm not saying that the ACC is a better conference because ANYONE could look at statistics, size of players, recruits but over-looking our conference NEEDS to stop. In the end I think that the HEART of a team is what matters most. I think we've proved that. All of us. Florida State, Clemson, Duke, Virginia Tech, Miami... We're all capable of winning games with heart. I'm not pulling for the ACC because I'm a Hokie, I'm pulling for the ACC because you know there's heart and that they're capable of finally showing that that can win games too.
Let FSU and the ACC enjoy this moment because I'm sure you'd be enjoying it on facebook/twitter just as much if the SEC had won.
