I fully trust in Wiles and his decisions. I do, however, wonder if Harley was given the chance in a game (in the 2 deep) to make a difference how he would have played. To me he was both lazy and explosive, undisciplined and a game changer. So basically extremely frustrating.
You can see he has flashes of making great plays in Spring Games and practice, but he was ALWAYS in the dog house. Wiles is always about technical play and knowing your assignments, but I remember watching another coach, a Mr Bown, play and he was just lights out energy. Couldn't control him. He just played. Look at that Texas game. I've never tried to analyze whether or not he was true to his assignments but he certainly played on the edge of what could be termed disciplined, positional play.
Would we have seen the 4 star Harley in a game situation? Maybe not, but I kind of wished he had gotten the chance to prove it.
If this is true, I would fully expect McMillian and Stroman to start out at corner (although I don't think Stroman played a single snap at defensive back this year.) With receiver so deep, I wouldn't be shocked if guys like David Prince and Deon Newsome get moved around.
I asked Andy Bitter about it tonight. His response was that Cory practiced with the team throughout the fall. He said that he thought Cory was part of the last practice in Blacksburg before the bowl that was open to reporters. He also noted that Cory was regularly spotted doing extra conditioning work after practice, and that all the work he put in seemed like a bunch of effort from a guy who was planning on leaving. At the same time, everyone else keeps tweeting me that he is gone. All we know right now is that Harley is the only player who has been given a release as of right now.

I think manziel will have a rude awakening if he's not drafted by the lions, since he won't have a ridiculous wide receiver that can just out jump everyone on defense to make catches in triple coverage.

I feel like LT is a boom or bust NFL QB. I see him as having more/larger hurdles (accuracy & decision making) to being a good NFL QB than he does to be a good NFL TE/H-back. Personally, I'd rather see him represent the Hokies in the NFL for 10 years as a contributor to an offense, than to be on somebody's bench or a 3 year dud (a la Tebow).

I completely agree. My intended point of emphasis was on "be careful not to get too mesmerized by the big arm thing". I wasn't intending to make any remote form of character relation to LT. I should have bolded that the first time to avoid confusion.
Yes he might be (last year he was only about 200 lb, now he's up to around 220. If that's all good weight, I think he moves to Backer). Still, so long as we don't get absolutely devoured by the injury bug this next year, I think we'll be ok in the secondary.
Comparing someone to JaMarcus Russell is pretty much equivalent to comparing someone to David Wilson. Except instead of unfairly assuming someone will be ridiculously athletic, you're assuming they'll be ridiculously lazy, show up to camp at 265+ and do absolutely NOTHING to improve himself once he gets to the league.
I'd say Logan is a hard enough worker and intelligent enough to be a successful NFL QB.
it was only changed twice. So/Jr year then again between Jr/Sr year. Or you could count the way Ocainspring ran the offense and just say just once, when it went from random chaos to his first real offense his senior year

If Logan gets a chance to play and practice with top notch talent around him, he may really surprise people. Especially if he gets some vertical threats to showcase his arm strength too.

Yeah, he lived in my neighborhood and my big brother played with him in rec league and high school. He definitely had/has more of a RB build than a FB, but his toughness, strength, and football IQ made him serviceable lead blocker, and his ball carrying ability and hands make him a offensive weapon.
