Yeah guys, merry Christmas and a prosperous and safe 2014.
Here's to beating UCLA, beating THE Ohio state university, UNC, duke, Miami, and for the ELEVENTH TIME IN A ROW...
#you!

Wow. You, sir...you went there.
Yes but look at how many walk-on guys we have playing.
How many scholarships are currently available?
Is that after Bob and Doug, eh?
You've been watching 'What the Bleep Do We Know?" again, haven't you?
What?
So did Jeffrey Dahmer and look how that turned out.
In the spirit of chaos, someone needs to tweet this entire conversation to a random high school player. See who, if anyone the ncaa punishes.
My favorites are the ones saying he came here because he's scared of competition.
I think he's talking about adding them to the 2-deep depth chart for the 2015 season in the original post.
If the NCAA ever went after a school for fans acting on their own accord and tweeting recruits, I would question why Bama didn't have to be responsible for toomer's oaks.
Just sayin.
I'm confused. They are in 2014 no?
Agreed hard to get too worked up. I do hate it when the media names us incorrectly, such as nicestcolleges twitter naming virginia tech university to their list. Nice we are on the list but follow the media guide.
Also, if you attend or are going to attend, I feel like you can use any nickname you want. But that's just me.
Yeah and we didn't come out of the tunnel to enter sandman twenty years ago either, but that doesn't stop me from calling it a vt tradition.
Merry Christmas Fellow Hokies! I think I speak for everyone when I say Shai Mckenzie's commitment was a great early Christmas gift.
Which is even more ironic considering we are signing two more quarterbacks to give us 5, as well as 5 linemen in this class.
We've got 85 scholarships for 25 starters. 11 offense, 11 defense, long snapper, kicker, & punter.
Punters and kickers getting scholarships is rare, but ours usually do. Ditto long snapper. So that's 82 slots for 22 positions. The basic math gives us 3.72 players per position. That's enough for a starter, a backup getting reps, a 3rd stringer for depth and then for most positions, someone red-shirting.
When you start putting 5 RB's on the board in just one class, when you've already got 5 - Edmunds, Coleman, Mangus, Caleb and Wright), suddenly your positional balance is all out of whack and you can't sign as many TE or OL as you need.
Understood first comment, was making sarcastic remark, should have written in sarcastica
must... resist.... downvote.
traditions? what traditions? these fields didn't exist 20 years ago, maybe not even 10 years ago. Football was meant to be played on grass. grass is green. so if you're going to have fake grass, make it green. simple.
I think though all those schools pictured above are FCS or lower. I think Boise to date is the only FBS School with a non-green field.

# | Senior Writer for ESPN's RecruitingNation Jeremy Crabtree's take on VT Recruiting It just sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me, but other than that I don't care too much
Michael Oher (of The Blind Side fame) says that he attended the University of Ole Miss during the player introductions. Yeah, no.

Happy Ho-Ho-Hokie Holidays!
