I was about to post this as a response to someone above. We could handle Vad Lee and the GT offense, but it was the break-down-and-run scenarios that have caused us the most problems. I can see Hundley running wild.
Unfortunately, we are the designated visiting team, so the hopes of #AME are probably nil. We'll likely be in white to match the snow that will inevitably fall.

# | This year marks the end the BCS era. Thoughts on BCS System on the whole? I like the BCS. I've mentioned this in other threads, but I think the season end rankings are fairly accurate. My problem is the application of the rankings:
- I don't think teams should be able to get a national championship bid unless they win their conference.
- I think the computer formulas should be revealed to the public.
- I don't like how BCS bowls can select teams that travel well over a higher ranked, more deserving team.
- Coach's poll has to go - these guys get 2 Saturdays a season to watch other games
Unlike others, I would prefer to take the human factor as much out of the equation as possible. I believe that humans have natural biased, and cannot possibly watch every team play every weekend. Even if a selection committee could, I fear that teams with better recruits and teams with brand names would get preference.
I would like to see a bunch of football nerds (ie, phil steele) develop an algorithm to rank teams. Not easy, I know, but I think it could be possible. From this ranking system, the playoffs select the top 4 conference champions. Any conference champion not ranked in the top 10 (top 8, top 6, whatever the ideal number is) forfeits their playoff bid to the highest ranked non-conference winner.

I've got an example that you may be interested in:
After Sagarin released his first BCS-included rankings of the season, there was a huge outcry because something like 3 or 4 of the top 10 teams were from FCS, including Bethune-Cookman among others. He then changed his formula mid-week (MID-WEEK!!) to move those teams outside the top 10.
Keep in mind, this man alone holds 5.6% of the power in the BCS standings. His formula is secret, and apparently he's allowed to change it whenever he sees fit to adjust to what the public thinks the poll should look like. And there are 5 others out there just like him, that hold the same amount of power under the same amount of secrecy.
I, for one, am not disappointed to see the BCS go. However, I am also not totally onboard with the playoff team selection process. I really hope that we end up with a 16-team playoff at some point, where each conference champion is given a shot with 6 at-large teams.

Agreed. I expect that something like this would spur more conference realignment toward four super-conferences. Then you'd have a neat system of four conference champions and four at large berths.

Yup, Avila's. I've never actually been... I like El Taco Tote for fast food and Barrigas for slow food. There's also (and this will sound strange, but it's awesome) Japanese Crepe House, which is fab. And The Hoppy Monk is a good bar down near campus. Of course, there's the whole Cincinnati district for bar hopping.
Oh! Oh! And for BBQ, try Stateline or Rudy's. Stateline is a little bit more of a sit-down place, but Rudy's is fun. You literally buy by the pound. Awesome.

I disagree about the coaches poll.
I think they probably spend more time than any other group going over game film with a fine toothed comb.
