I think he caught hell from the FSU coach for the first goal. He seemed like he wanted to give FSU an oppty to rectify a call he felt he should have made. He overruled his linesman, allowed FSU to play aggressively on D, then called a ticky-tack obstruction call on our D, which turned into a FSU goal.
He either sucks as a ref or he felt like he made a mistake. Could also be a homer, this is the ACC. Might have been offput by the USA chants as he looks foreign.

I hate holding an 18 line... thats the problem... you've gotta have 3-4 preferably tall ball hawks (some of these FSU girls are tall) if you're going to hold a high line. Sometimes its better to allow them to get position at the last minute or even position without a last minute change.

I'm all for us winning, but this is the first time I've watched women's soccer in a while and god is it painful. All it is is kickball and shielding.
their one forward was, the goal scorer wasnt I dont think, it was close, either way that was some bad set piece coverage
in other news...the official i gave the compliment to 10 minutes ago has lost my compliment, there have been 2 or 3 calls where A - he needs to let this just play out and B - has called a couple of 50/50 calls that could have gone the hokies way against them

I'm gathering that his parents wanted to be present when Lewis committed, which they weren't when he gave his verbal to Tech. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with a kid's parents wanting to make absolutely sure that their son is making the correct decision. Good for them!

OSU losing and the SEC Champion losing to FSU would be the best thing ever. That way if FSU trounces OSU we won't have to hear for the next year "Well, the SEC didn't have a spot in the title game so we can't know for sure if FSU or OSU is really the best team in the country..."
I doubt they'll keep playing at this high of a level for long, not with the dramatically increased competition in the conference. Just in their division, they have to get past Clemson and now Louisville, and BC looks to be back on the upswing again.
My point is, while my post was intended to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek, I firmly believe that we'll face them at least once in the ACCCG before we ever face them in the regular season. And I sincerely hope that we revisit the 9-game conference schedule soon.
