Wow, some of the commentors on Roanoke.com are truly asinine.
A nod to stick it in and the decade of dominance in his first quote would have been greatly appreciated. We will give him time...
So, consequently, should we consider C. Littlepaige to be on the proverbial hotseat at LOLUVA?
For the MNC game, I don't want the SEC anywhere NEAR the inside of the stadium without a ticket. NOWHERE. For that reason, I want Florida State and Ohio State to both win on Saturday. And I want them to win convincingly. I want NO DOUBT that the Noles and Buckeyes belong in that game. I want ESPN crying , whining, pissing and moaning the whole month about how the SEC Champ, be it Auburn or Mizzou, deserves to be in that game.
I'm sick of the SEC.
I feel bad but I'm pulling for FSU to win by like 30+. Words cannot explain how bad I want for Tech to play A&M in the CFA and the only way they get there IMO is if Duke gets crushed.
No reinstatement of "stick it in," no horse on a treadmill, no laughing in the face of uva after a decade of dominance...this may be the president Virginia Tech wanted, but let's ask ourselves...
Is this the president Virginia Tech needs?

Here's a question:
Who would be the better head coach (not at VT) right now? Shane or Bryan?
Ah, very good. See I wasn't old enough to be there. Always good to have a first person perspective.
Old roommate who lives in C'burg got married in the botanical gardens several years ago. A buddy of his from high school graduated from Miami and came up for the wedding in June. We took him out in town and he absolutely loved it. By the end of the night, we had him doing the Hokie bird with the fanned fingers and the thumb out on the other hand. He was perfectly "Blacksburged."
Actually, if I remember correctly, he jumped before inventing the parachute. Then, upon realizing he was going to do serious damage to the Earth when he landed, he had mercy, caught a pterodactyl on the way down, skinned it, and made the first ever parachute.
Got tickets to the game in advance. It was a heck of a deal - ticket + plus a Chick-Fil-A sandwich for $25. I'd pay $25 just for the sandwich on certain days (Sundays). Still going with a decent group. Doesn't hurt that I live less than 2 miles from BOA Stadium.
Feels dirty, but I'm pulling for Florida State. The positives for ACC perception outweigh the sleep I'm likely to lose after opening cheering for the Noles.

I like.
(From a family of Purdue Grads....)
Nice interest in nanotechnology, and biomedicals.
Wife is professor of nursing.
Any other ideas on possible hashtags?

Right after he invented the parachute.
On the other hand, Petersen's worst years at Boise -- relatively speaking -- were 2007 (Taylor Tharp was QB, Zabransky was gone and Moore hadn't arrived) and the last two (Moore has been gone). So maybe it's a little bit of both.
Plus, Zabransky already had an All-American honorable mention under his belt before Petersen arrived.
I think It's FSU all the way.
I don't think it's really worth the effort to root for the underdog in this place.
Center square takes the Circle. FSU for the win. FSU for the win at NCG.

CFB, especially if FSU really embarrasses duke in the acc title game. Russell Athletic makes sense for Miami geographically. And I'm just not sure duke has enough appeal to go to the CFB. It's disappointing and I feel bad for cutcliff and duke after a SPECTACULAR season. They really don't deserve to get the shaft, but fortunately for us it might mean a marquee matchup vs SEC to put a stamp on this season. 9-4 and a bowl win over SEC? I'll be ecstatic with that. Go Hokies.
They still play these things when we're not in them?
Boom.
Nice link. Thanks for posting.
And a great point-it's hard for someone 'outside' to appreciate Blacksburg like, I, or most others on this board appreciate it.
However, it's awesome when you bring in visitors and they do 'get it.' I'd have to say, that most people that I've taken to Hokie games walk away getting the flavor of Blacksburg and VT. They say down the line that they have started to pull for, and pay attention to the Hokies favorably after their brief visit.
It's a magical place....but like you suggested, I'm biased.
Correct you are. If I recall correctly they thought he was gonna miss the whole season. He came back and basically ran spy on Reggie Ball the entire second half. Fun fact: it actually wasn't Xavier who turned the tide for us. I put my lucky hat on at halftime and wore that thing for every game after. I lost it however before the Pitt game last year. Coincidence? I think not.

No, I wish I was though... How could you not like a 315 pound redneck??
