Everything other timing option is just stupid. We have an interim in, no reason to rush the hire. Well there are reasons. New president should have his boys / his girls in key spots. Should not have Steger / Weaver AD. Thats just stupid.

I saw the same thing. I'll play devils advocate and say his momentum was carrying him across the line, he committed to running (maybe a little early, yes), but that goes back to the protection broke. Maybe he could have hit Willy if he didn't have to scramble.

Yeah, but so has 10+ win seasons, acc championships, bowl victories, etc. There's a lot more wins at VT thanks to Frank Beamer than there are losses.
Miami is not a good team. Who have they beaten this year? Yes their talent level might be better than ours but the South Florida culture weakens that talent level significantly.
Our O is bad because we can't consistently get separation, we can't consistently run the ball.
Thomas might have been able to take this game on his shoulders, but because we're afraid of turnovers now, we didn't take the risks necessary to win. We played not to lose. You'll never recruit good offensive players with a "don't lose strategy"
This is on the coaches. Straight up.
The fact that we keep losing games we shouldn't is on the coaches. Sure, the offensive line played awful in many passing situations, but your team has to be prepared, and we were definitely not prepared for this game in all three phases of the game, just like in the Boston College and Duke games. It goes beyond this season, though. How about the JMU game? How about both Clemson games in 2011? How about the UNC game in 2009? How about Boston College and Georgia Tech in 2006? Miami 2005, the entire 2003 season except for maybe two or three games, along with 2002. We are notorious for losing games that we should NEVER lose or lose in the way we lose them. That's on the coaching staff, and it has all happened under Frank Beamer. Just saying.
So frustrated by this loss, but I was very impressed with that crazy across the field pass Logan had to Willie. That was a big time throw that is an interception for most quarterbacks.

Beamer relies on assistants. Assistants are young and coaching the game. So not sure I agree that the game has passed Beamer by, as he has a collection of young guys putting it all together.
At least we've got more wins at this point in the season than last year and things to look forward to in the future (With some changes that may or may not come).
It serves both functions but defenses now adays are complex enough that just motioning a man wont always give you an accurate representation of man vs zone

AJ had some really bad punts today, including the one that was returned for a TD. No hang time. He did have a couple of NFL level punts as well. Definitely a mixed bag today.

After the game I have had multiple friends and family get mad at me for not texting them or talking to them and they say I shouldn't be in a bad mood over a game and shouldn't let it worry the weekend. I responded to all of them saying, "Well I guess that means you guys aren't real sports fans, real fans don't get over losses right after they happen." This is why I love TKP so much, it is filled with real Tech fans that get super excited over wins and bad moods over losses.
