I did not downvote. But I do not agree with your stance. As a fan, his dismissal might make our team weaker, but honestly, looking at the his kicking numbers, I'm not so sure. He was erratic all year and if the "violations of team rules" were a distraction to any of the other team members, then this team will be stronger without him. And if a kicker can hit 75% of their kicks and close to 100% of the extra points, then that might be an upgrade.
It is suprising to me how often kids throw away a chance at a free quality education (free being financially free, not free of responsibilities and effort to play D1 sports). This guy blew it with bad decisions. I hope he figures it out and can reflect on his poor choices and learn from his mistakes. I am not going to wish him a horrible life because he left a football team I root for.
