My favorite was "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" shirts/swearshirts, with UVA and WVU on them. If VT had a spine they would bring them back, and they would sell like crazy.

So I was expecting terrible news about us losing some important players, but you're saying his job got much harder because Duke is going to continue to be elite?

Well... yeah. We might want to at least get back to the middle of the ACC pack before we worry about Duke standing in our way. Coach Johnson has enough challenges within our own program for the time being.

I told my buddies earlier in the year that he has the marking of a good WR, he has the size to be great, looks to secure the ball before going upfield, and does a great job of protecting it in traffic when the play is dying down. His conditioning will only improve to add more mass as he gets older. Not going to say he won't leave early, but I'd like to see him get a few more seasons under him to improve as a player (and selfishly) bridge the gap to some new WR's.

I went to my morning classes that Thursday. I went back to the apartment for lunch and then back to the Price's Fork lot for my afternoon classes. After circling the lot for 30 minutes trying to find a spot, I said screw it and just went downtown and started drinking. I didn't go to class till the following Tuesday...

"but we got served a breakup line about as valid as, "it's not you, it's me.""

-the polite way of saying, "your program is not high-profile enough for me, so I'm taking my services elsewhere"

Must be nice to have multiple national championship trophies in your school's history, the best Head Coach money can buy, and the facilities to go with it. Makes recruiting quite a bit easier, I would guess.

Blasphemy.....#AllMaroonEverything

Your opinion though so I can respect it at least

Looking directly at him can cause temporary blindness and paralysis

Yep, for that one year that they are there, its gonna be a tough two games.

But every now and again a senior laden Hokie squad nips these top ranked Duke/UNC teams, so you never know.

Its cute to see guys so committed to each other

Please, God. No more orange jerseys or pants in any combination. Also, don't much care for the all maroon either. Any other combinations of maroon and white would please me. Really can't say I'm enamored with the 'hokie stone' helmet either, but please don't ever use the one with 'hokie bird' feet ever again.

I would love to see this too. But not everyone is as die hard as the fans on TKP. Our sell-out streak ended this season and last time I checked there are still seats for sale through the athletic department for Senior Day for a winning football team competing for a shot at a coastal title. Before we top 100K seats, I think the school wants to fill the 66K we have. Not trying to be the wet blanket here; I for one hope we expand and fill that trick each weekend. I got two future hokies, one of which is already talking about the grades he is going to need to earn to get into VT and he is 10.

Go Hokies

Legend has it that the person who owned the land that Lane Stadium was built on donated the land for the stadium to be built, but with one stipulation: that it could never be an enclosed stadium, so that visitors to the stadium could see the mountains from their seats.

I mentioned this on twitter last night, and I know it's way unrealistic unless we go all Texas A&M and get $450 Million to upgrade lane... but it's fun to dream. Anyways, I'd love to see the East Bleachers be a two-deck bleachers and put that "HOME OF THE FIGHTING GOBBLERS" on the front of the top deck like this:

ATM

I also think it would be neat to connect the lower deck of south with east and west. Most may disagree but I feel like Lane is like a giant puzzle that no one could put together correctly.

Man, I saw the Chelsea badge and instinctively reached for the down vote button. Restrained myself at the last second. Can't understand how anyone can root for John Terry and Ashley Cole. I do love some Frank Lampard, tho...

Rather than the peephole, use the window....it will probably be less painful

Every once in a while, I wonder how a toddler can be screaming and crying one minute, but put him in front of a TV screen with the right show on, and just shut up and sit there, perfectly content.

I now know what this feels like.
