There were several mistakes by the defense. Exum gave up several plays. I'm not flaming him, but he is NOT the same player as before the injury. The touchdown he gave up in the flat and the high lob pass likely both would've been Facyson picks. One of them (flat) probably would've been housed, as he only had to beat Rettig. I know on the lob that Exum got shoved to the ground, but he still should have been able to close on that ball and at least deflect it. He just doesn't have the speed.
This is what happens when you recruit TEs and turn them into OTs. The new coaches are not cleaning up a mess from the previous staff they are trying to contain a nuclear holocaust caused by Ocain, Newsome, and Sherman. If the old staff were still in place I believe we would be about 2-7 right now. After dialing back my expectations and looking at last season 6-3 is not to bad.
Zero yards > 4 turnovers that directly cost us 17 points
Going to the ACC CG would be hilariously awful on many levels. My hopes for this year are as follows:
1. Win 8 regular-season games (I still see MD and UVA as winnable)
2. Go to a mediocre bowl and don't get embarrassed
3. Rebuild for another rebuilding year and mark my calendar for 2015
This is more doom and gloom than I will usually post, but it's just sad and embarrassing right now.
He makes it so hard for me to defend him, and today I won't--7 points and the game came from him alone. 3 points from DK and 7 points from the Oline not protecting. That being said, i feel bad too--meyer couldn't catch the ball if it was covered in tar...I wish him the best in the future--this one wasn't all his fault.....

Seriously? How bout Knowles gifting an INT? I can't blame Thomas for going outside the box and trying to do everything himself, cause really, he's getting zero help. How bout Meyer dropping a TD pass? You think Watkins or any of FSU's WRs drop that? Point the finger at Logan all you want, but the fact of the matter is he's the only weapon this offense has.
Wow, the negativity has reached an all time low on this site. It's like thesabre around here. I still stand behind LT3 and this team but the lack of a run game is terrible
I am sitting in a dark room right now repeatedly saying fuck...over and over again...why do you do this to us Hokies, why? With that said, I am planning my food spread for the game next week.
I understand that Logan is an amazing talent, and probably the best option that we have to win a game. I also don't believe that Leal is better than Logan. But Logan is playing poorly making bad decisions. Who knows what kinda decisions that Leal would have made. There has got to be a point where you are not doing your job and even just to foster competition and try to bring the best out of someone that you give Leal a shot. Maybe Leal doesn't make the decision to throw it in the middle of the field falling backwards. Who knows, on talent Logan will win every time but these past to games you have to question his decision making and if you can trust him to make the right decision.
After this what have we got to lose, put Leal in. Realistically, we keep playing like this and we lose to Md, Mia, and Yikes UVA. Might as well get ready for next season. And no we can't win against fl.st even if we somehow make it to the ACCCG.
Sad part(as far as ACC goes anyways) when FSU wins tonight, we still have a chance of 1st place with a win at Miami. I know, after these last two weeks, you'll hear "we don't even deserve to win the division or be in the ACCCG or something along those lines." That isn't the point. Point is, you play to win the game and get as far as you can. Right now, I will gladly take 9-3 with a ACC title game appearance with a shot at FSU to steal their spotlight.
Hmm stiney wasn't all that bad in retrospect either...i am just gonna keep my mouth shut and watch the games...(i am not insulting you but i disliked glennon, and stiney too and it turns out, I wouldn't mind having them around today)

We gain a hour tonight.. I so forgot about this! That's another hour of bonfire and liquor. Maybe at least we'll be playing the Tropical Storm after it weakens over Tallahassee

I wouldn't say the worst--he has broken records. I think it is the way that he loses that makes him feel the worse. When glennon played, every game I had my fingers crossed. When Logan plays--he gets my hopes up, then crushes them brutally every game. I think he is better than most QB's that have come through here, but he inconsistency makes it feel worse
I don't know where to start. Well i still can't believe that Journell hit that FG. The run game was bad as always. People also seem to forget that Thomas first year we still had a good running game as well as great recievers. Our D played good but gave up too many big plays at costly times. Thomas can be held accountable for the pick 6 and fumbletoo many costly mistakes. Still a disappointing gamedo I think we are this badno but i do think we keep making mistakes that can be prevented but oh well we will still have a shot at winning the next couple weeks.

Probably would not go that far, but he for sure would not make the scout team 4-deep for an All Time Virginia Tech team, unless it was a tight end

That is one of the saddest things I have ever typed...on to the booze.
They can't review penalties but they can review if the ball was tipped at the line. If a ball gets tipped, all WR's in the vicinity of the ball can be tackled. In my opinion, it was a huge make up call--the PI call was bad, but the ball definitely wasn't tipped.
I would love to talk about how we can still win our division and play in the ACC Championship Game (win out and we're in; as long as Duke loses one more game), BUT do we actually think that we'll beat Miami/Maryland/UVA after the last two weeks? Especially when we keep the same strategy, get the same results (turnovers and bad decisions), continue to lose, and STILL say that is our best option? (Rhetorical question) A player that has eight turnovers in the last two weeks is currently our best option? Hopefully the team will magically recreate itself over the next week.
