This was bad. All around bad. The full nine yards of bad. We can't keep Logan in if it seems like he's hurt. When he's banged up in a game he just kinda loses his mind. Unless he's playing Georgia Tech all hopped up on pain meds.
We also need to go to our clutch players in clutch situations. Trey Edmonds had a game. Josh Stanford had a game. Why didn't we turn to them in clutch situations?

Agreed, I only really blame 2 TO's on LT (although that pick six was inexcusable). Byrn getting hurt didn't help, Meyer definitely didn't step up for him. He's not getting much help, but he still played poorly. Plenty of blame to go around.
I wish I could have as much faith as you. Trust in a team that has provided absolutely zero reason to do so. I truthfully admire your resolve (seriously, no b.s.).
The season is over. Stop grasping. Start looking to the future. Get the kid some playing time so he's ready for next season.

I really wish that some of the folks that came over from TSL would return to that site. This place is becoming exactly like that site after a loss.
Logan can be good, but he is too wildly inconsistent as a quarterback to be any good at quarterbacking. He will not play qb at the next level. There is no doubt about that unless everything magically clicks in his head. He's so awful mentally - there are just so many bad decisions that he makes that even inexperienced quarterbacks know not to make. And all of those decisions are made 2 seconds too slow. I think we need to start playing Leal more, he deserves a shot after sticking around for 4 years as a backup. I just feel sorry for the guy, because I bet he is one of the most frustrated players on the team watching all of these mistakes and not having a chance to do anything about it.
I guess I'm the only one, but I didn't think Logan played that bad. Up until the second interception, he was putting together a nice game with just one INT that wasn't his fault. The second interception was about as bad as it gets. My biggest frustration is the fact we are putting everything on Thomas's shoulders and WE DON'T HAVE TO!!! Trey Edmunds got six carries today. That is the worst stat of the game, in my opinion.
As much as I dislike him right now, I have to disagree. Logan has been serviceable for us...we could have done much worse.
At what point do we start looking at "management" for the misfortunes of this team. There are obviously gaping game day holes that our staff are missing or asking a team to do that ultimately that can not provide. I am not calling for heads, just asking when will the staff start to make changes that are obvious to the non-professional arm chair QB. And I am not throwing all this blame on LT, he indeed has a huge amount to carry for this, but there are just obvious holes elsewhere we keep trying to go down with no luck...
If we lose to miami and LT doesn't look any better- then sure...but just keep in mind, Leal is playing with the same level of surrounding talent that LT is so if he sucks too--that doesn't mean Leal is bad.
I'm not a fan of the reworked defensive starters. Bring back what was working. Although is rather go to Nashville for a bowl game than El Paso anyway.
I'm with you. The offense wasn't in the best shape to begin with this season. Things happen. Who knows what will happen towards the end of the season?
Exactly crazier things have happened like us winning the coastal in 08 with 4 losses 3 being ACC Champs.

Yes, but did you watch that pick-6? That is the absolute, most completely unacceptable throw you could ever make during a football game. Throwing across your body, under pressure, falling backwards, across the middle without looking. A winning QB NEVER makes that play.

My opinion of Logan is unchanged. He's the best bet we have right now, and put him on Clemson or FSU and we've got a much different story. He tries to do everything himself because there's literally no one else on this offense to carry the load. There's only so much he can do when receivers tip passes to defenders or drop TD passes or the line gets called for holding 3 plays in a row He made one really bad decision today, once again under pressure and once again trying to put the team on his back and get something from nothing. Leal is not a better option. Get over the delusion.
Clearly logans best is better than leals best, but the way logan is playing I think there is an acceptable level of risk to try leal at some point
so many penalties, sub par offensive line play, head scratching play calling, WR's that are on and off...I feel bad for the guy. This game was partially his fault but man...i hope he gets drafted by a team with a good starting QB who can work him up, and then give him his chance...if he still sucks--then fine, I am wrong, but my guess is, he'll be pretty good given the right opportunity.
I agree their play wasn't great. But a couple of plays, including the pick 6 he can just take the sack.

It's football turnover happen. No one expects anyone to never make a turnover. That's like saying you're never going to strike out in baseball. Never gonna happen. To me you can excuse some turn overs like a tipped pass or being sacked from behind when those are the only ones. But if you are making dumb decisions ON TOP OF those that aren't necessarily your fault is when it becomes a problem. It's like a mandatory class that you are allowed one skip. If you skip it for personal reasons non legitimate reasons, when you have a legitimate one it doesn't matter you used up your skip already and you now have to deal with the consequences. Everyone makes errors. The point is on to make dumb ones on top of those that may be out of your control. And I am not trying to argue or disagree with you. I am just so upset right now, I have no idea if I am agreeing or disagreeing with you. Mostly just venting.
